Upon arrival, we were immediately informed that they were short staffed.... That was an understatement! There were only two waiters and almost every table was occupied. I must note, our waitress was very good and had such a pleasant attitude considering the circumstance. Unfortunately, I must mention the food. My son and myself ordered steaks which were both horrible, mine was 85% grizzled fat, I basically left the whole thing untouched, and the other steak had absolutely no flavor and was very tough. Looking forward to a good cup of coffee and dessert, we were informed that they took the coffee machine away and no longer serve coffee. The dessert was probably the best part of the dinner experience BUT it would have been even better paired with a cup of coffee! Overall, waitress was a doll, but I have to give the restaurant a big thumbs down! We will not be returning. Also, it was very expensive for what we got. If I walked out of there with a great meal, I wouldn't care about the $$$ BUT that wasn't the case.
My husband and I are new to the area and from Sarasota. We have dined four times at Sean's Prime Dining as a couple and also with friends from Sarasota and the Texas hill country. The meals have always been either excellent or very good. Our visiting friends also enjoyed their selections. Our server this week, Jennifer, was very friendly, helpful and attentive. I had the snapper and my husband had the seafood pasta dish. They were both very good and fresh. The truffle fries are always a treat and the filet mignon we have enjoyed during our past visits were excellent. I would recommend Sean's Prime Dining as a good selection for dining out in Fairhope.
This was supposed to be Prime Dining and it was anything but that. The ambience was severly lacking. This was our 58th anniversary and we were looking forward to a special evening. We sat down and they removed 2 place settings which was fine, but also the fresh flowers? We told them them about the anniversary and no big deal. Would never go back.
We arrived at the reservation time and were seated at a table. A server brought us a glass of water and asked if we were going to want anything other than water. I said we would order wine when we had made menu decisions. That was the last word spoken until we left thirty minutes later. No one came back to our table during that time. During the half hour we waited we took a good look around and decided we did not like the ambiance. The place is very sterile, with no charm. With televisions over the bar and loud music on the sound system, it did not feel like a fine (or “prime”) dining establishment. We could have lived with that if the service was good and the food worthwhile, but we never tasted the food because the service was nonexistent. With as many good restaurants as there are in the Fairhope area, I see no reason to ever try Sean's Prime Dining again.
Extremely disappointed. Mediocre finer food with the fast food quality services. We came here for our anniversary (marked on our reservation) when we walked in we were pointed to our table, after a few minutes our apparent waitress walks up and says what do you want to drink? No introduction, but I received my bar drink quickly. Our reservation was at 6 and it seemed like the staff was still trying to prepare for the start of dinner service. Our waitress came back and said ready to order? I asked if there were any specials and she said no. Nothing was suggested, we weren't told the vegetable of the day or anything else. We both ordered the filet and it was decent, I think there was a lot of gravy and may have been better on the scoop of potatoes instead of directly on top of the steak. Our waitress never check to see how our food was or refills on drinks. We sat for about for about 20 minutes after completing our meals and after I stacked our plates our waitress realized we were done. I wasn't offered a to go box for my leftovers nor was dessert offered. Even as our waitress dropped off our check she continued her silent treatment and didn't thank us. Really disappointed with our services compared to the price.
noisy, service spotty , at times unresponsive but always polite. food mediocre. air conditioner on the blink loud floor fans tried to compensate. Manager very helpful, but overwhelmed with a lack of trained staff. Will not be back.
The appetizers had a good quantity of choices and I got the Lobster Roll. It was very good and with large lump pieces of Lobster. My wife got the NY Strip which was cooked as she requested MR. I got the short ribs which is actually the best bang for the money if ordering beef (Other choices are good also). The server was right on the ball. My only negative is the martini's are not big (so I had 2). This is a good choice for dinner in Fairhope for dates, families or just husband and wives. We have been several times.
This time not as good as our previous visit. I had the SHRIMP AND LOBSTER SCAMPI (which my wife had last time and was excellent). This time it was quite salty. My wife had the SLOW BRAISED BEEF SHORT RIBS (which I had last time and it was unbelievably tender). This time it was not. Overall food tasted ok but was not as good as the previous visit. Server was great, we love the ambience so we'll try again for sure.
Love the food and staff; always a wonderful experience anytime we go!
7:00 on Saturday out if scallops, lobster roll and West Indies Jumbo lump Crab salad. Waiter unfamiliar with menu and hasn't been trained to open and pour a bottle of wine. Courses served on top of each other and didn't receive Caesar salad order. Filet is average and overpriced for $55. Apologized for the menu and service throughout the night. Generally unimpressed.

My husband and another couple ordered the ribeye. The ribeye was served with a grey color and no seasoning. Was tough to cut through with a steak knife. This is a major letdown with the price being $55 for a steak by itself with no sides. I got a salad, which was just piled up slaw like texture with heavy vinaigrette and was charged an extra $28 for adding a steak topping. When we told the server, she stated she had been hearing a lot of complaints about the steak and when to let someone know. After that, she came out and gave some excuse or reason the steak tasted like that due to complaints on the old way they cooked the steak. The manager who walked around all night wouldn’t even look our way after the complaint had been made. We eat out alot and this was one of the worst meals we have had in years. The owners phone number was on a card at the front and I sent him a text in which I haven’t heard anything from him after explaining the horrible manager and food. I would recommend to no one.
The place is beautiful and great location. The service is excellent. The food was not very good. The fish was overcooked and the taste of the food was just okay. The food just did not seem hot and fresh. Really wanted to like this place.
We had a party of 8 on Monday night. Great to have an option for fine dining on what is usually a “closed up” night in Fairhope. Hope was our server and she handled this diverse group very well. The burger with bacon jam is always a good choice, but lots of great options on the menu! We did the Fairhope Food Tour a couple of weeks ago and we loved all the appetizers we had there.
Fantastic atmosphere and even better food! We loved everything we had from the apps to the entrees. The desserts were amazing especially the chocolate raspberry cheesecake special…amazing!

The service was excellent to begin with and as the restaurant began to grow with guests the two servers couldn't keep up. Empty glasses of water and other beverages and the staff who didn't appear to have any assigned duties kept walking by. Our server was also the bartender and she totally abandoned us. The scollops were not cooked properly to begin with and the ones that were finally brought out were uncooked. One meal came out timely and the other was 10 minutes after the first. Not a good experience. The manager did take the scollops off the bill but didn't offer any explanation for the variation in time and the fact that one diners meal wasn't properly prepared. No offer of a substitute meal.
