Here from Florida first time in the area and had a taste for some good old ice cream so we decided we’d try the yard worst experience ever the employee was very rude as if she didn’t care to serve a black couple such a nasty attitude and poor service I wouldn’t dare come or recommend this place to anyone there employee was beyond rude took all the patience in me not to get out of character 1/31/22 3:08 whom ever this young white lady shall be needs help better yet prayer God bless your soul.

Extremely slow service. Employees seemed inexperienced as they were still taking orders with many still waiting to be fulfilled. We waited 15 minutes after ordering to receive our ice cream. Lots of unhappy faces here. If you enter and are 3rd or more in line then I suggest that you turn around. This is why I don't like tipping before being served. The specialties turn out great but are obviously very time consuming.

First thing..I traveled from mobile with my boyfriend and we stopped by on our way to gulf shores. ..Whenever I first got there, there were two young girls working. Might I add they both had their hair down. I’ve worked in restaurants/fast food places for YEARS and that is very unsanitary. I didn’t say anything just because every work environment is different. Me and my boyfriend shared one along the trip and as we got towards the last little bit of the sundae, I felt something weird. So as I sat there, I pulled a piece of curly brown hair out of my mouth. At that point I was furious and already half way to gulf shores so there was no way I was turning back around. Anyways..As I got To the yard, there was one other family there besides me and there were 3 people in that family. I had to wait 20+ minutes before they even took my order. They were too busy laughing and giggling to even notice I was there. On top of that, whenever my sundae was rang up, it came to be $19 almost $20 with tax. Keep in mind this was only ONE sundae. I checked my bank statement as I do everyday to ensure everything was correct, and I was charged $25? FOR ONE SUNDAE?? I won’t be back to this spot again.

The Yard has wonderful shakes. Not only was the food good, but our service was incredible. Kyler was working and made sure each shake was made to perfection. He was working alone but kept the wait short and did not skip any steps.

Went back in June, customer service was ok. They are super sweet. The lady at the counter could not give us an opinion when asked for it. The outside was not clean and some of the inside surfaces where sticky. Also they didn't seem to have a lot of practice making them, they kept refreshing their memory with the menu. It was all over ok, sadly not a wow.

20 customers and one employee making shakes and dipping ice cream so our order took a while. I felt so sorry for him. I wanted to jump behind the counter and help out. I expected my order to be thrown together but they were masterfully done!

Service was great but the ice cream was off. No longer Hershey ice cream. Blue Bell is the product now. Its sad all the good places are switching to cheap product or closing the doors.

Awesome concept and so many Ice Cream and Milkshake combinations.. would recommend viewing their menu online so you have an Idea... I had the "Salted caramel cheesecake" and it was enough for 3 or 2 persons.. staff is friendly and patient... must try if you're in the area for Ice cream ? ? .. they have a location in Gulfshores and another in Fairhope

Great place for a summer treat! Staff was very friendly and helpful. Lots of unique flavors to choose from. We ordered a specialty milkshake and not only did it come out looking just like the menu, but it was delicious!
Came in for a Saturday afternoon treat and was it ever!! The young lady was working by herself and whipped these works of art out like Bob Ross! No trees.. keep up the awesome job!!! Get the quart! You won’t regret it!!

Fun ice cream selection. Never seen more than 1 person working at a time, which with such intricate ice cream treats means it takes a ridiculously long time to get your order.

Just walked in right before closing right after a few other people. There was a line of people and the lady behind counter said sorry honey it’s 8 and we are closed. I said it’s 759 and showed my phone. She rolled her eyes and said that’s fine you can stay. Naturally, we left. I’m sure the owners would have rather sold a few more milkshakes on a holiday weekend, but I’d rather not ruin someone’s weekend by causing them to stay a few more minutes when they will already be there after closing time anyway. Hopefully that employee has a better day tomorrow.
