Our dinner was superb in everything. I ordered Chateaubriand which was cooked perfectly. It was so tender and delicious! My husband ordered shrimp and grits which he thoroughly enjoyed. It had a generous amount of shrimp and excellent flavors. We would definitely recommend The Wash House and can't wait to return.

My family is staying at The Grand for the week. My husband and I decide to go to the Wash House for dinner. We were turned away due to the “kitchen being closed”, this would have been believable if the hostess didn’t have to ask her manager first. This was at 8:45, listed 10pm close and reservations being accepted at 9pm. I know we were cutting it close but it was just two of us, there over an hour before close. It was very unprofessional and disappointing as she tried to say the internet should state they close at 9 and not 10 even though open table accepts reservations at 9pm.

Delicious food! Our server was attentive without hovering and was knowledgeable about the menu. Our door was terrific from the gumbo, beef spring rolls, our entrees of scallops and snapper. And don't forget the chocolate walnut pie!! We loved the ambiance. It was delightfully charming. We will definitely go back.

Highly recommend the smoked watermelon 🍉 bruschetta and the oyster lettuce wraps to start. The bruschetta dish was on another level.
We then moved on to the entrees. The chateaubriand last night was exquisite and the scallops were a hit, as well.
Jade was an excellent server and we really enjoyed when Wyatt stopped by our table to see how we were enjoying things. Everyone was so nice, really. We can’t wait to get back on our next trip. 5 ⭐️

The food was good, the drinks were good. Service was poor and hard to get. Though, when we did get served, they did a nice job it was very hard to get their attention. Not stafffed properly. Will definitely give them another chance though.

Updating my review because it’s been years. Always a great experience. A well run operation through and through. Service is always excellent. Food is so consistently perfectly done. I have been to very few places that never even slightly messes up a steak, but this is one. Fabulous seafood and steaks, really great desserts. The atmosphere is perfect to me. Clearly a popular place. Parking can be a challenge (sort of) but even though you often have to park across the road, it’s still close. A special place for a special occasion.
Don't be put-off by the exterior, it's vintage Fairhope and kind of historic, but very nicely decorated and spacious inside. Excellent upscale dining. Fantastic food. We had the chateaubriand and the tile fish. Both were perfectly prepared and delicious, nice presentation as well. Mixed drinks were very good. Service was less than what I had expected. We didn't have dessert, we were too full. We would go back. Very busy, also, on a Thursday evening. Parking is tough.

We recently hosted my son’s rehearsal dinner at The Wash House and everyone loved it. Myles, Wyatt, and the entire team were so easy to work with and made sure no detail was overlooked and that all of my questions were answered prior to the event. The food was impeccable and came out fast, the service was great, and they made the planning process so seamless. I highly recommend the Wash House if you’re looking for a wonderful place to host an event!

This is our old stomping ground - we were regulars 20 years ago and still LOVE to visit. We took our little family back for a celebration and the kids fell in love with it too. Super fast service even though they were super busy! Great kid meal options. They all want to go back asap.

Our dining experience at the " Wash House" was wonderful. the staff worked very hard to ensure our seating worked easily for a guest in a wheelchair. The service was very professional and the food, the Lamb Shank and Redfish with crawfish Special was as good as it gets!! Can't wait to return and enjoy a wonderful dinner again. This restaurant has a wonderful ambience which projects your are in for a very special evening.
