Stopped in to buy a hammer and some nails. Got into a heated argument with one of the employees, when I kept insisting they were wrong this was a hardware store( according to the sign) After speaking with the manager I discovered I was wrong. So I enjoyed some chicken tenders and fries. Dipping sauce was excellent. YUM!

Visited 1/30/21 and it was closed. Sign on door said to go next door which was Italian. We were seated in City Hardware, but off the Italian menu. Hope it opens back up!

Located in downtown Florence, AL, home of University of Alabama (North) Such a wonderful and beautiful city. City Hardware is a unique setting. The building, decor and atmosphere is inviting. The food is great! Parking is the normal downtown city parking. Easy walking around and up and down Court Street. Many shops, restaurants to enjoy.

Wanted so bad to visit. Sign on the door said the restuarant next door would be glad to have our service. Our waitress next door said the owners were the same and closed City Hardware's doors as COVID hit. The Italian restaurant Ricatoni's next door is great though.

The food I tasted was great, 10/10. The flavor was delicious, swift service, and very generous employees. Inside of the restaurant was modern, and in all a very cute set up to view while dining.

Nice local place. Good service. Had the Cajun pasta which was pretty good. Should have been served some bread for the sauce but I guess I didn't need the calories anyway!

We were the only ones in the place when came in. We ask to be seated on patio, that was our first mistake. We must have seat there 15 or 20 minutes. I actually getting up leave when our server showed up and appoliged for the delay. She wanted to take our order and leave. We had to stop her to ask questions we ordered an appetizer. We waited...and finally it came. She sat it down and turned to leave and we had to stop her to give our food order. During eating our appetizer I ran dry on my drink. We had finished the whole appetizer when our food came. I had slow her down so I could get another drink. We sat outside another restaurant and saw four couples in the place and leave before we could finish our food. Food was great but service was not.
Nothing but good things to say about the food and the hostess and waitress. I am from East Tennessee in the area for work. City Hardware came highly recommended! I had meatloaf and my friend had the Mahi Mahi. Both were very good, then we capped it off with the cookie and Ice cream cooked in the skillet! Madison was very nice and very attentive to us. Gave us some recommendations on what else to do while in Florence. It was a good evening at a good restaurant. If I am ever this way again I know where I'll be going to eat.

City Hardware has been in Florence for several years and is in downtown Florence. They have a varied menu which is great for lunch or dinner. My friends and I eat there for lunch and I have had the Red, White and Blue salad which is fabulous! It is one of my favorites! However, I had the Shrimp and Grits last week that was super! Also tried their fried okra! Best I have ever eaten and I am a girl raised in the South! They also have a full bar. The ambience is very pleasant and I think you will be pleased!
