Owner is Rude. They charge you for green onions on your expensive egg drop soup and ask for some hot mustard for your eggrolls and it’s gonna be an additional fee. That’s like charging for ketchup for your french fries. It’s my understanding that the lady bought the restaurant in the shopping center that it’s located in. She doesn’t like it here and makes frequent trips to New York City. Depending on her servers to run the property without additional financial reward. Very greedy owner very rude.

Food was really good. If your looking for something thats like hibachi food but without the grill and high prices, this place is perfect. Not too expensive, great food all around, service was good and was constant. Will definitely be returning.

I hate to do this because I gave the benefit of the doubt last time. This is the second time I less than a year that I’ve gotten sick from eating here. The last time was in march. I figured maybe at the time it was just something didn’t agree with me. This time my order was completely different. I got sick again after eating food from here last night. I know for a fact it was the food from here because it’s the only thing I had all day since breakfast. I used to like rice box but, unfortunately I will not be back.

Food is always great...service this time was a little off as the server's English wasn't good enuf to understand my wife's order or her simple request and their dining room was over 80⁰ due to issues with their AC. They had a small remote system in the dining area to help with this but employees were rolling silverware at the table closest to the machine...hopefully this will be fixed soon before it hurts their business

Ok let’s get the basics out of the way: -great price point -amazing food, great quality, fresh & made to order sushi -nice atmosphere -great selection of lesser known imported beers
Now the real reason for my review: Katherine/“Grandma” is incredible. She is the best server I’ve ever met. She is charismatic, hilarious, and witty. My husband and I love her and it’s adorable how she dotes over babies. We moved to Tennessee a year ago and kept saying how most of all we miss Grandma at Rice Box. WELL! We just moved back to bama this weekend and with no hesitation drove an hour from Bear Creek to Florence JUST to see Grandma and enjoy your amazing hibachi chicken for our first family meal back in the area. However much she’s being paid, yall need to double it. She makes the experience what it is and we can’t possibly articulate the great vibe she brings to the restaurant. We will be back again and again!
