I was referred to BB's by a close friend. My experience has been amazing, informative and transformative. The store is more than just "health food". Barbara has been extremely helpful not only to me but to several of my friends. Everyone is aging but with counseling, exercise and supplements you can slow the aging process down. I follow the blood type diet which some people allege as a hoax. I think that is just Dr. DeAdamo's hokey writing personality. Theres definitely something to it. Personally for me, BB's and that diet have changed my life. My BP is down and I'm working to get off statins entirely in the near future. As a consultation BB's can type your blood and will sit down with you and explain on a big screen whats in your live blood sample under the microscope. I had never seen this before, cells and other organisms moving around, fascinating. She is a believer and that drives her kind, compassionate and ethical manner. The store carries a wide range of supplements as well as some healthy cheeses, poultry and meats. One of my favorites is Bubbies, this brand makes pickled items such as Sauerkraut and Pickles, Fabulouso! At BB's also they make fresh ground organic peanut butter as well as cashew, almond and honey roasted peanut butters. Dont forget to get your CBD oils here too.

This place is not a normal health food store. I would describe it as a blood type diet consulting firm selling a few items and masquerading as a health food store. The blood type diet is 100% hoax. There is absolutely zero medical or scientific credibility, and if you don't believe me, look it up. Therefore no employees should be giving quackery advice unless they only want customers who are also duped and gullible. Be ready for very poor customer service like I got. Let's hope some more balanced people open up a decent health food store in Foley. (BTW, this part of the review is only to warn consumers and it's not an invitation for the owner to respond.) To the owner: Based on your other reviews, I'm not interested in your replies or your lame efforts to defend yourself. Good customer service means saying sorry and not making excuses, because of course, the customer is always right.)

I go there for their peanut machine where you can grind your own organic peanut butter. It’s so good my daughter has me mail it to her in Seattle! The employees are all so nice and helpful. They have everything a health nut could ask for.

Very nice little health food store. The owner was very helpful in troubleshooting some health concerns. They have a little play area for the kids, which was great in keeping them entertained while we shopped. The store is very small (not many food options). There are a lot of bulk spices options (which were perfect for out-of-towners to buy smaller quantities). They have a grind-your-own nut butter area - delicious and fresh cashew butter! They have quite a few vitamins to choose from as well. Highly recommend!

I can say that everything she has told me ( once I researched it ) it was shockingly true. I appreciate her spreading the word. With her help I am feeling better, gaining a healthy gut and loosing weight. When I first walked in the store, I already liked it. It's nice and clean, the ambiance, the smell and the music they're playing is so soothing. Will definitely come back. As a mom a place for the kids is a plus!! Thank you. Bb is so friendly!
The most dismissive help for hormone replacement info. I went three times and was directed away from help every time. When a woman asks for hormone help, here’s a hint, direct them to a helpful solution. Not one time was I suggested to a helpful supplement. Not one. But my husband was readily suggested to male hormone help.

Visiting the area and wanted to check this place out. Very nice store with lots of great items. Friendly, helpful staff. The owner was there as well and she is very knowledgeable. From bulk spices, nuts, teas, vitamins, supplements, healthy foods and snacks, fresh ground nut butters, cbd items, kombuchas, essential oils, and just so much more goodness. Some things are pricey but good health comes at a price. I purchased some mushroom coffee and hot chocolate, some coconut oil, a kombucha and some yummy candied pecans. Bring cash as there is a sign at the register that they charge a 3.5% for usage of a credit or debit card. You cannot see the store from the street. It's in the middle of the plaza. Worth a stop to get your health on track.

There is something that has really bothered me that BB said to me while shopping in her store for the first time. In conversation regarding blood type, She suggested that a blood transfusion I had in 2009 probably changed my blood type. Not knowing my medical history, blood type or even having a medical degree herself. I thought this was so outrageous and out of line for her to say to someone. She also suggested that my IUD may be poisoning me and that my Covid shots are changing my blood. This woman his giving dangerous medical opinions and suggesting conspiracy theories. She needs to stop this and watch what she says to people. She is not an MD. Please beware.

You will not find a better grocer of pure foods in Baldwin County! I love, love, love this store. BB carries many specialized foods not available in this area. Need goat cheese pizza? No problem. Probiotic for the kids? Done, organic. The BULK STORE of herbs is my fav next to the hospitality. BB will go out of her way to find what you need and give you the best!
