Food somehow has gotten worse, which i didn't think was possible. Don't know how the market tolerates this food.
Edit: 4 years later, tried this location again. Still a one star. Wife felt sick after eating. Service below average. Food still a one/two.

FOOD WAS COLD AND NASTY. IF YOU REALLY WANT A GOOD MEAL, I CAN GUARANTEE IT APPLEBEE'S AND GUNNERSVILLE THE BEST. I DON'T CARE IF I'M STARVING TO DEATH. AND THIS IS THE LAST PLACE TO EAT ON EARTH. What a great experience. Hubby and I have not been to an Applebees in a long time. We took advantage of their Veterans Day free lunch or dinner. Hubby had the bacon cheeseburger and I had the three cheese penne and chicken. Both entrees were delicious!!! The burger and fries were delicious, moist burger and generous portion. My pasta was fresh, delicious and I had leftovers for tomorrow. The meals were entirely free for Veterans and honored. It’s not something I take for granted but truly appreciate this. They gave us each a $5 off card for our next meal, so yes, Applebees, you won us back! Great food, great service and we’ll spread the word! I fell out of love with Applebees but I’m glad I gave you another chance. I was not disappointed and will look forward to seeing you again! Thank you for honoring Veterans and being generous. It was noticed and won these two patrons back!!! God bless the local franchisee owner, we highly recommend this restaurant!!!

Disappointing. Waited 5 minutes for a Hostess(no one else was in front of us). Bartender finally sat us. Booth was dirty, we had to clean the seats. Waitress was in a hurry to take our order. Dirty Silverware. She bought out my wife’s quesadillas, and dropped one on the table. Never said a word, just picked it up with her hands and set it back on my wife’s plate!? I walked to the bar for a tea refill. We Won’t be back to Ft Payne

We ordered drinks with sugared rim, they came out with salt. His top sirloin had a big tendon running completely down the middle and both our steaks had so much black pepper I couldn't eat mine. When we mentioned it to the waitress she didn't offer to have a different one cooked and brought out. Asked for the broccoli to be double steamed, his was mine wasn't. Was brought the bill before asked if we would like anything else. Asked to speak to the manager about the meal, showed her the pepper we scraped off the steak to try to eat it, 3/4 of each of our steaks was still on our plates untouched. She said that that was to much pepper to be put on a steak. She apologized for the meal, but we feel she just kinda blew us off. We brought the steak home for the dogs, we paid 80.00 for our dog to have a steak dinner.
We always have good food and service at this location.
