We stopped by Scooter’s for some beverages and popped in here on a whim. The donuts are super fresh and light. We got the donut holes for the kids ($1.79 for a dozen is a super deal too!) and I got a maple bar for myself. My husband got a cinnamon sugar twist donut and he said it was good too.
The lady serving the donuts was really nice and we were in and out of there quickly. It seemed like a good place to drop in and pick up donuts after grabbing our beverages a little down the street. (There were no tables to sit down.) Delicious! Great prices for excellent donuts. Stop by!

Licken' Good Donuts is a small storefront serving big flavor donuts. All of the time-tested types of donuts are available, including many new ideas. Their Maple-Bacon donut is very popular. They tend to sell out daily, so for the best variety, don't wait till late afternoon. I have been there as early as 7:00 AM and as late as 2:00 PM and never had to wait more than a few minutes. I have arrived between 3:00 and 5:00 PM only to find they had sold out already. Licken' Good Donuts is as good as any of the well-known national chains that have existed over the past fifty years and better than many. It's certainly worth checking them out if you are anywhere in the Dekalb County area. In fact, if you want a great donut, they are worth the drive from Scottsboro to Albertville and Gadsden.
