My husband and I are from out of time and we stopped by thinking this place was a bakery . We was greeted by a friendly staff member which told us about the restaurant and let us know what her favorites were , we purchased some sweets and thanked her . We spend the afternoon talking about what she had recommended if we would come back for dinner . Well we did and the same staff member greeted us and she was our waitress and was so friendly and itentive to our needs/wants. The food was absolutely delicious- I ate a cup of chili as in appetizers and then the Blackend Chicken Alfredo (which was recommended)for my meal - the Alfredo came with a dinner roll that was so good . My husband had the hamburger and fries which was very good .
We ate some of the sweets (chocolate chip cookie) for our snack tonight and that was so good . I would recommend this place and if we are ever back in this area will will definitely eat here again

SUPERB! We visited for the first time yesterday afternoon. The restaurant had a rustic cozy setting. We ordered Italian Chicken Alfredo and Chicken Parmesan. I chose a delicious Caesar salad with homemade dressing. The Chicken Alfredo was wonderful with homemade sauce. The portion was generous. The Chicken Parmesan was spectacular. The chicken was juicy and cooked perfectly. Everything was full of flavor. We will definitely be repeat customers. You will not be disappointed. There is a ramp on the back of the building for handicapped individuals.

I visited Southern Harvest for lunch today, August 2025. Don’t let the prices fool you because each meal will feed two people. I ordered the pork chops, smashed potatoes, and mixed beans served with a roll. The food was the tastiest I have had in any restaurant I have frequented. The atmosphere was friendly and southern with smiles all around. Don’t miss this gem while traveling through FortPayne. And don’t forget to get a cinnamon roll to go. You will regret it if you do.

I got the chicken fried steak with fried okra and onion rings. The steak was so salty that I threw over half of it away and I like salt. The okra was good but the onion rings were super greasy

We were visiting Mentone for a quick getaway and ran across this restaurant on our way to Fort Payne for dinner. I'm so glad we decided to eat here. The food was amazing. I had creamy basil chicken pasta and my friend had chicken Alfredo. They were both amazing!!! Their was so much food that we had leftovers for the next day. The bread rolls were large, light and fluffy and so very good. We bought cinnamon rolls to go and had them for breakfast, they were very sweet but very good. IF I lived in the area it would be a frequent favorite lunch or dinner spot. You can't go wrong by stopping here for a meal.

Best reuban sandwiches will be back often to try other things. Hubby loved his Italian dish, son went over the moon for his cheese steak. We are local. We take our food to go. It hurts my soul to see 2 different reviews rated 1 star because a table collapsed. I don't know Mr Gentry but we sure do appreciate the passion, love and hard work he goes through to provide exceptional food selections to locals. I think after those 2 reviews, we'll go there tonight for 3 ribeye's and take sandwiches to go. Make sure our table is sturdy, too. We don't have children, so I am sure the table will survive !! After being stuck in Austin, Texas all night because of a flight cancelation, Im sure my husband could use that steak, a cold beer, and some music. Another review to be posted.
