We stopped at the Big Chief yesterday and got a double belly buster with onion rings and a regular belly buster with onion rings and they were amazing. The cashiers were very polite and helpful. We will include this stop on our trips from now on.

Nobody liked it. $100 in the trash. Shakes were bad, fries not cooked and burger was rubbery. 1st time to ever be bad.

This place is GREAT! Friendly people all around, old time atmosphere for someone not from Alabama originally. I can't say enough good things about the food. I'll be going back many times in the future!!

Just an old school drive-in. Good service and great milk shakes. You have to try the Dillon... it's great!

We went on a pretty day and ate outside, but there was some indoor seating. The hamburgers were delicious! Tasted like steak! Maybe the best hamburgers we ever had. I wouldn't recommend the appetizers. The tater tots and French frys were good. The ice cream was amazing!

A true survivor piece of Americana, this establishment brings back a time passed in a heartwarming fashion. Great short order grill and ice cream served by good hearted local folks with a servants mindset. Don't miss the weekend car shows either! If you need a break from today's world and miss the good old days, pop in to big chief for a blast from the past that never stopped serving the community!

Meh. Stopped in for lunch just to say we've visited such a historic place. Burger was only average, fries (as so many others here have noted) were limp, only my strawberry shake saved the day, it was delicious. Nice place to visit, but don't go hungry.

The Staff is extremely friendly and very customer oriented! I went specifically for their banana split and was not disappointed! It was HUGE! They don’t skimp on anything especially the toppings! It was a whole meal! And… it was only $7.70!!
Will most definitely be back, MANY TIMES MORE!!!

The $7 banana split will feed 2 to 4 people. It is huge with lots of toppings. Their salad is big too.
