Too loud to speak to anyone. Music will actually give you a headache. Lights are so dark you have to use a flashlight on phone to read menu. It’s not a bar or nightclub.

Had the hamburger steak and mashed potatoes, with fried okra for dinner tonight, and everything was excellent. Best okra I’ve had in a long time, and the service was fast and friendly! I’ll be back for the country fried steak.

We needed a place in the Gulf Shores area to meet up with some out of state friends yesterday for dinner. We had not eaten at Down South Kitchen before but decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed. The menu isn't extensive but it is varied with a good mix of foods. A couple of us had their daily special and it was delicious. The servings are plentiful, cooked to order, and we all left with a to-go container...but not until the four of us shared two of their wonderful desserts.
The service was excellent.
They have a full bar and entertainment some evenings.

We visited Down South Kitchen for Jeep Night and what a great time we had!!! The food and atmosphere is absolutely excellent!! The staff is completely top notch and very attentive to their customers!! This place will be a LOCALS Favorite and staple in no time!! We will definitely be back!! The live music was phenomenal and what they have booked for the near future will be just as great!! We can’t wait to go back!!! 10 out of 10 stars ⭐️ for sure!!!!

Enjoyed our first visit there. They had their first band Heavy Rotation. It was a great 90s-2000s rock band. Owner and staff were amazing. Food looks fabulous will be back for dinner soon

Had the chicken fried steak, Mexican cornbread and cheese grits. Both were good, as was the tea, which is very important. Service was good. We were checked on frequently. Lots of games on several televisions, which is great for Saturday afternoon.

Newly opened restaurant with a comfortable indoor atmosphere good food and service. Prices were reasonable. My only suggestion’s is to light up the entrance and parking lot a little more and organize the garden space to look more inviting.
