Gone here for years. Used to love it. Last time food was so, so. All the plastic glasses were chipped, menu were so old you could not read them and one of the bathrooms was closed down due to falling ceiling. This was the one located in Gulf Shores and will never come back. Owners let a good place go to pot.

This is a place we've enjoyed in the past and we knew what we wanted. We got there a little before dinner hour (low season) and the place was empty, but the staff were happy to have people to help and they were all friendly and cheerful. We had Swamp soup, of course, which is always yummy, blackened whitefish, and a fried platter. All fresh and delicious. Okra, hush puppies, and fries, were hot and tasty. It's a lot of food for a fair price. Parking is easy, and you can take as little or as long as you like to enjoy your meal.

Highly recommend! The food was delicious. We had the shrimp basket (blackened) and whitefish with crawfish sauce. It was all so good. The flavors were rich but not too much, spice level was just right. Even the coleslaw was delicious, light but flavorful, maybe the best we’ve had. Great service as well, very friendly, and the wait wasn’t too long. We’ll be back when we’re in town.

Great local place. “Swamp Soup” was a nice complimentary appetizer. Large variety. Great Bleu Cheese Bacon Burger. Lots of different appetizers. Gonna try to fruit Beignet dessert!

I have zero complaints! This is my third year down here in Gulf Shores with my fiancé, he got the shrimp Po boy and I got the fried catfish po boy. Both absolutely Amazing!!! The gator bites were hot and delicious, along with the swamp soup!!! Customer service was great, It is honestly the best sit down place we’ve eaten here so far, and for a great price! :)

I cannot say enough about this special jewel. If you want the BEST! HOTTEST SEA FOOD! Please stop in and enjoy yourselves. The price is great! The food is fabulous!! Pollie and Tina, thank you so much for your great, speedy and spectacular service!! You all made us feel right at home. I can't wait to return to enjoy another fabulous meal with you all. It's so much food for a small price. You will not find this anywhere but the Fish River Grille. The best tasting food anywhere.
Parking: Plenty of space for parking.
Kid-friendliness: My 9 year old was acknowledged and placed his own order. Tina took special care of him and he was pleased with the cheese bites. He usually has a problem finding something to eat that he enjoys. Well, no problem today!!
Wheelchair accessibility: The building is so spacious so wheeler chairs will have no problem getting around.
