This was our first time at Sunset Cork Room and we were so pleased with our decision to visit. Reservation system is easy to navigate and we were seated promptly upon arrival. The bartender was our server, so he was pulled in a couple different directions, but he was attentive and accommodating. We started with the Calamari, which was delicious and ordered the 8oz Filet and Lamb Chop lollipops for entrees. Both were cooked perfectly. I'm not a wine expert, but there seemed to be a good variety of wines if that's your thing. All in all a fantastic meal. We'll visit again.

Always looking for something new to us in this area, and this fit the bill! Great wine and bar selections, and reasonably priced. The place is small, but not crowded at all. Obviously management has considered the space without stuffing people around tables. The food was good, but not great. A bit over seasoned. Very nice restaurant with huge potential for being a large hit with outstanding food. Wait staff was average, not re was a stage set up for live music, which if not kept low, will be very intrusive and downright loud. All the best wished to this restaurant…some fine tuning and this place will be a hit! Recommended with reservation.

Had dinner here tonight and had never heard of this place. Looked on Tripadvisor and saw it was rated #2 and liked the menu so we decided to try it. What a lovely suprise. An actual nice restaurant with tablecloths, uniformed servers, lovely subdued live music and nice atmosphere. Very different than most of the places around here. We had a lovely server and everything from filet to scallops to crabcakes were very good and reasonably priced. We had no idea anything like this was here. Most of the diners appeared to be well dressed locals. Will return for sure, maybe even next week.

This is the 2nd year my husband and I enjoyed a date night here while on vacation with friends. Sunset Cork Room did not disappoint. I had the salmon and my husband enjoyed the filet mignon. Both entrees were cooked perfectly! We will continue to make this our date night spot as long as we vacation in the gulf shores!

Simply the best meal we had all week down to dessert. Had steak, crab cakes, chowder, pecan pie, and Oreo cake. Incredible.

Best Restaurant in Orange Beach area! We had the Lamb Chops, Filet and Grouper and everything was prepared to perfection! The wines were excellent and I am finicky! Do not miss this great place!

I don’t really want to post a review of this place because it’s so fabulous I don’t want anybody to know about it. But everything about our meal was excellent. This place is a true hidden gem. The fillet was cooked to perfection, the lamb was first class, and the grouper was perfectly cooked.10 stars!

Amazing food and extensive wine selection. This is a small restaurant that is a hidden gem.

This is a quaint little place away from the tourist traps on the beach drag that seems to cater to locals. We ate there on a Saturday night (you'll need reservations) and we're glad we did. They are recognized by Wine Spectator for having an excellent wine list for many years running. We chose a nice red blend and it had a reasonable markup. Food was excellent. We had lamb lollipops (4 was plenty - these are meaty chops) and a cheese ravioli al Diavolo with a spicy marinara. Both entrees were from fresh ingredients and very well prepared. Sadly with the generous portions we did not save room for dessert but will definitely try that next visit.

We looked for something a little more than Lulu's and the associated restaurants in Gulf Shores that focus on fried fish and oysters and such. The Sunset cork room was rated as the #2 restaurant in Gulf shores so our expectations were elevated. Ultimately it was fine. No real issues. Not fine dining by any stretch, but decent pub food. The salads were serviceable nothing special, the main courses were decent. Steak I had was extraordinarily over salted--tasty, but after a few bites I had to stop because of the salt. You know, what should we expect ...?

Definitely don't miss this gem! Locals hidden restaurant. We enjoyed the salmon dish and hangar steak. Live music made it enjoyable and it is reasonably priced

We dine here every time we come to Gulf Shores and are never disappointed. This time we had three excellent entrées and three delicious appetizers. We started with the calamari (tender, lightly breaded and fried/seasoned perfectly), the grilled shrimp and the quiche (absolutely delicious with extraordinary Mornay sauce!) and loved them all. Then we moved to the scallops (how do they brown them so perfectly? Why is the orange sauce so delicious?), the salmon (again cooked to perfection with a perfectly paired and executed sauce) and the lamb lollipops. All delicious but that lamb is just absolutely special. The perfect sear while still being exactly medium rare. Completely tender, juicy and flavorful. If you don’t think you like lamb - try these because I bet they will change your mind! Oh! I also highly recommend the beet and arugula salad - the sweet/salty/tangy flavors are so nicely balanced it is simply delicious!

This has become one of our favorite restaurants. The service is excellent. The staff is attentive and knowledgeable. The food is wonderful, and the menu is updated with new, tasty dishes regularly. The atmosphere is cozy and relaxing. They have calm, live music, usually acoustic with a single player/singer. We have teenagers with us sometimes and they love the food also.
