The food was excellent. I had chicken Quesadilla and cactus grits, my husband had the taquito plate the chips are very good as well light and crispy.

I have tried this establishment on 3 different occasions, while the people are nice the food is less than mediocre. On all 3 occasions the food and the drinks have not been good. Unfortunately, I will not be eating here again and I don’t recommend it to anyone local or visiting.

This restaurant has changed hands, has a new name, and menu. It’s now La Cruz. NOT worth the time or money! Now it’s overpriced. There’s minimal air conditioning if any so it’s a little warm. The paint is peeling off the walls in chunks. The server who has served several other places previously was NOT good. She was friendly just very quiet and made excuses for everything. It’s still a Mexican restaurant but it’s more Americanized. If you order a taco you get your choice of American or Mexican. I got the Mexican version which she listed all sorts of typical taco toppings but when it came out it was just meat, big chunks of raw white onion, cilantro, and a wedge of lime. When asked about the missing items she made up an excuse but brought me out some shredded cheese...that I had to wait for her to take and bring out two other tables drinks first. When passing out our drinks she’d put her fingers just inside the cups. The hostess’s jeans were so torn that the entire front of her legs from just below the pockets were completely showing, her tank top was basically a tube top with spaghetti straps but was so low cut she had to keep adjusting it because she kept um popping out of it. The menus were card stock which would’ve been fine if they weren’t all covered in food stains. Drinks are now $3.50. A small scoop of sour cream on anything is $1. The old owner must’ve taken all the light fixtures because they just had black cords with light bulbs hanging above the booths. When I ordered my dessert she forgot about it and I had to remind her. She went to get it and 15 minutes later she came back and said they never made any today. When she came to get the money for our bill she looked inside, saw the $100 bill, and said to have a good night and started to walk away until we said we needed change. The servers would come through our section loudly making jokes about the people at their tables. The one that checked on us and refilled our drinks was the one that wiped the tables clean NOT even our server. My taco was pretty good though...so greasy that the hard shell disintegrated but it was pretty tasty otherwise. Oh also the server I’m assuming forgot to put in our order and blamed it on the printer (she did the same thing when it was time to get the bill) but from where we were seated you could hear it functioning and everyone else was getting their bills so it was obviously just our server. When I took my daughter to the bathroom (you have to walk through a little walkway between the kitchen and where the servers put in the orders to get there) and two of the servers were making comments about us being in the way and taking too long (sorry but 5 year olds can only walk so fast and it’s a kind of narrow walkway) We probably won’t be back. Too many negatives.

HIDDEN GEM! Bring your family, tell your friends! The whole staff is friendly. Drinks taste great, food even better! Everyone came up to our 10 month old and said hi. If you visit orange beach or gulf shores this one is a MUST visit!

Tables were not cleaned off from the previous diners all around. Plates and all were still there. Table right next to us still had salsa all over it. Our menus had food stuck inside them...gross!! There us nothing worse than trying to eat with garbage all around. The only good thing was the margaritas and our waitress.
I tried something different. It was about what you'd expect. Decent Hispanic style food. Service could've been slightly better, but maybe she was busy.

Awesome Margaritas and flavorful salsa and food! I love the Poblanitos and chicken quesadillas with guacamole salad. Locals enjoy $1.00 margaritas on Tuesday. In the Rouses neighborhood center in Gulf Shores. Very friendly wait staff. Tequilas will not disappoint!

I ordered the beef and bean burrito and it was the best I have ever had. So much flavor. I could eat here every day
