The Village Hideaway

This was the best part of our vacation in gulf shores. Such a great atmosphere and pretty good food! Will definitely stop back in next time! If you’re ever in gulf shores, do yourself a favor and don’t miss this place.

Not impressed by the place or the menu. I tipped a dollar after receiving water when we were seated, then left.

Kid-friendliness: It seems meant to be kid-friendly, but seems a bit cramped for kids & they'd run out of stuff to do quickly.

We love the Beach Club Resort and we have eaten here a few times now. The cheese pizza is great!!!

We wanted do stay close to the beach house and decided to stop in one night. Service was terrible, we saw our server twice, one to take the order and again for the check. The hostess was the one who got our drinks and we never got asked for refills. I ordered the fish and chips, for $25 I expected a larger serving, it was equal in size to something you’d order from Captain Ds. Fish was nicely fried and you could tell it was fresh though. The fries on the other hand taste old, you could definitely tell they were frozen. My wife got the chicken alfredo. While it smelled great, the taste wasn’t good, it looked and taste like they used canned chicken. Price of the meals didn’t reflect the quality. If we did come back we definitely know 2 items not to order again.

We enjoyed this restaurant. The fish and chips are great. They handled a seafood allergy with no problem. The teens all got chicken Alfredo and DID NOT like it - not much chicken at all.

Really a 1.5 experience terrible wait staff up charges they didn't even tell you about.machines that cheat you also they charge 30$ for a large pizza that's insanely bad and then can't even treat customers with respect the food wasn't bad but got a large pizza with under toppings like a slice of pepperoni pizza with no pepperoni on it that is just the kinda place this the current management let the place go and it sucks came here to try it and wasn't respected and was ignored by staff just a terrible place do not bring your family or friends here unless you like over paying for under topped food

This is my first ever review of a restaurant and ive been to some pretty bad places, this one just really stuck with me. If you're staying at the hotel and you are really desperate for some absolutely average of average food then this is the place to go! Almost everything you eat here is gonna be frozen, even the seafood, which is not a surprise as soon as you sit at the table. The waiters are good, no qualms there. However, anyone who isn't serving you simply does not care. You have waiters/waitresses eating food out on the floor, grouping around the bar just to talk, and if you want any special requests on your order forget about it! Now I will say, to hang out and get some honestly good adult beverages, this place it great! But when it comes to food I'd rather order domino's and bring it here.

The atmosphere is pretty cool especially with kids. The food was overpriced and was nothing to write home about.

The atmosphere is great but food was terrible. They have an arcade for kids and some outdoor games for adults as well. The food was overcooked and under seasoned. The shrimp had more of the chef's hair than seasoning. However, they did quickly replace the shrimp with hair in it.

Ordered fish and chips, and mahi sandwich. Loved that the fish wasn't over breaded. Both meals were tasty, the fries were awesome. The tarter sauce was pre-packaged and a little bland. Staff was friendly, service was quick. Went when they were not very busy. We sat outside and the table was a little dirty from people using it from the next door ice cream shop. The waitress wiped it, but could have done a better job. If you sit outside in the evening, depending on your table, the sun could be right in your eyes, so check that out before you choose the patio. Our seats were shaded, so no issue for us.

The food was good but it took a considerable amount of time for someone to take our order. We had to track someone down for a drink refill which we still did not get. We hoped that this was an anomaly so My son went back, with friends, a couple days later. They waited for someone to seat them for an extended period. Other employees saw them there and just ignored them. They finally went somewhere else.
