This was my first time at Char Burger. The menu needs to be updated. They have items on the menu that they no longer serve. I asked for the French toast platter and was told that they don't serve French toast. So then I asked for the pancake platter. Was told they don't have pancakes. The portions are small for the price I paid. I ended up getting the Biscuits and gravy w/bacon, 2 kids breakfasts and a breakfast burrito for a grand total of $30.82. The burrito was on...
I've been eating at this little stop since I was maybe 8 or 9 so fast forward 30 years. I've worked here, I've learned here,made friendships and families here. Has the best food on that side of Guntersville. Still use a flat top don't smash your burger to death. Just hope you get to eat when the grill masters cooking. Ask they will tell you.
I was there about 30 minutes before they were closing. If you have ever worked in a restaurant, you know what they were doing. Cleaning everything they possibly could so they could get out of there quickly. Still, the service was great and I heard no grumbling about the rush of customers that followed me in. As for the food, I cannot remember ever having a bad meal here. Great hot bar for a meat & 3 lunch or burgers and sandwiches off the menu.
