It took them 14 days to charge our debit cards! Who does that? $28.99 per person for the worst seafood buffet I've ever been to in my life. The salad bar was lackluster, and the dessert bar wasn't much of a dessert bar with their cafeteria cakes. The worst part was the seafood. Absolutely everything was fried so there was nothing I could eat except the shrimp Alfredo and grits. The grits didn't even have the texture of grits. I don't even remember the shrimp Alfredo having shrimp, but maybe imitation crab. We had a party of 8 adults and 3 children and absolutely nobody liked any of the food. We were all so disappointed especially with how expensive it is. None of us ate $30 worth of food. My dad asked to speak to the manager, but the manager couldn't even make the attempt to speak with him, so they sent someone else to do their dirty work. They need new management, a new chef and a new kitchen manager. I am so thankful I didn't have my wedding there because if the food was this disgusting at my wedding, I would have been very angry. We didn't chose the State Park for our venue because the menu was pathetic.

The Lodge is extremely nice, the staff is super friendly and helpful. No issues with the service at all. It's a great place to spend a weekend. The food is disrespectful for how beautiful the location and lodge are. Go into town for dinner or bring your food with you.

Beautiful scenery and friendly service; however, the food was absolutely terrible. We went for the seafood buffet and not one thing was edible. The salad bar was fair and the dessert bar was bought cookies and dry crumbly cake. I would not recommend at all! It was also very expensive for the quality. Out ticket was 73.00 for party of 2.

The view is breathtaking, but the food was disappointing. We had the Lodge Burger w/onion rings and Herb marinated chicken breast w/mash potatoes and green beans. The burger was just an average burger. The onion rings tasted like they were fried in old oil. The chicken breast was dry and lacked flavor and the sides lacked flavor as well.

Love this place! The view from the restaurant is beautiful! The Christmas decor in the lodge was so warm and inviting. Delicious food with an unbeatable atmosphere and great service.
The place is beautiful. Relaxing. Step back into another time. The buffet looked good but we had catfish. It was well cooked and served pipping hot. Cocktails from the bar were good quality. Top shelf. View is amazing so get there before sunset. There was a cozy bar with billards. Several locals were hanging out. We even enjoyed a game of checkers in the lounge. Watch for the many deer on the mountain road. We are staying in campground and will eat there again. The staff are so friendly and attentive.
Fantastic Buffet and salad bar. Incredible views.

If I could give this restaurant zero stars I would. Let me start off by saying our waitress was absolutely wonderful. Very sweet and accommodating.
The first red flag should have been only one table filled in the whole place during lunch service. We got the buffet for 25.99 per person. You would think paying that price there would be a lot of variety or even fresh food, but there wasn’t. The salad bar and the fruit were really the only edible things in the whole place. The hot bar consisted of super dry over cooked food that look like it had been sitting under a light for about a week. The chicken was dry and burnt, the vegetables were over cooked and dry. The star of the show, the prime rib, had no flavor and tasted like it had been heated up from the day before. I couldn’t even finish my plate of food. It tasted so horrible. Please save your money and steer clear of this place. I am honestly surprised I didn’t end up with food poisoning.
All in all a great experience! Our server Melissa was an exceptional waitress and was a great comic relief. Food was expensive but the quality was great. Buffet was somewhat confusing in that you can start from either side but that was the only thing that was moderately bad about this place.

I used to eat here a lot on Sundays for brunch. It's a real shame restaurants have given up on quality of food, service, & ezperience. The dining rooms need a redo at best or a deep deep cleaning at least. View will always be amazing. But they should close the dining room until they can address the problems & fix them before they get sued for food poisoning Their chicken is undercooked,, fish is overcooked , temp on hot bar is not kept at a safe temp. Salad & desserts are a bit warm on the cold bar. Idk about their menu as it's never available due to being under staffed. RAT AT YOUR OWN RISK

I had the Seafood bar, it was poorly kept, food was cold and seasoning lacking. Tilapia was overcooked. They did bring out fresh fried catfish and shrimp, but was a wait for it. For the Price I expected better!
