This is a hidden gem & well worth the drive from Huntsville. The restaurant is in an old train depot. It is nice reading about the history of the depot. The food is 100% Southern comfort food and is SO GOOD. Our waitress was precious, friendly & attentive. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

I was one of a group of 10 that went for lunch at Freight House Restaurant and it was my first time there. The menu is very diverse. Most anyone could find something they can eat. Everyone at our table had different menu items and we thoroughly enjoyed our food. The service was great, and has a very nice atmosphere. The restaurant is situated just off the railroad tracks which was a great addition to the atmosphere. Even though we had a large group our food was served in a reasonable...

Very nice atmosphere, a little noisy from everyone chatting but over all good. Service was excellent and my food was the best southern type food I've eaten out in a long while. I will definitely go back and highly recommend!!
