I had lunch here for the first time today. The food was amazing. The Shrimp and Grits were the best that I’ve ever had. Chef Thomas and his staff are as good as the food they cook and serve. Outstanding!

Did an order of take-out boxed lunches today from The Velvet Plate and met Chef! He was very kind and passionate about his food offerings. The brisket was delicious with just the right amount of fat ribbon to it. The whipped sweet potatoes tasted like spiced thanksgiving. The pulled pork was delicious and the Mac & cheese was garlicky and good! The boxes were gently packed and even BBQ sauce was included. Portions were just right and I am quite full.
