Ordered the half smoked chicken, I am telling you what it was great! Fell right off the bone wasn’t dry. The owner is always welcoming, she always talks to the customers. You can tell she cares about the food produced by her business. Thank you for the awesome food. 5/5 ⭐️

My FIRST EVER stop into this establishment was Friday 4/18. I arrived at 11:19 am & placed an order a few minutes later (very simple order).
The kind lady at the cash register warned me it would take a bit, as the main cook was out (recently had surgery).
I said “what, probably 10-15 minutes?” She replied “idk if it’ll be quite that fast, but somewhere close to that”.
Over the course of the following 10-15 minutes we had a couple conversations, which included her totaling me up for my bill. (I bought a bag or Doritos, a Mtn Dew, & ordered a flame thrower burger from the restaurant). I left the waitress a couple dollar tip, even though she wasn’t actually tending to me. (The lady up front was).
The kind last up front apologized so many times for it taking so long, & even went to the back several times. Fast forward to around 30 minutes into my wait & a young gentleman came in & went over to the restaurant side & ordered from the waitress over there. I’d assume about 5-7 minutes later he came back to the front register to pay. He told the lady what he had, & paid. After he left, she looked at me & said “if the main cook was here, that wouldn’t have happened. I’m not sure why they gave him his order, but still hasn’t finished yours”. She went to the back again…….She came back out & said “I hate that this is your experience during your first time stopping here”. I responded, “yes ma’am, me too. Yall will get plenty of business & wont miss me, but I highly doubt I’ll ever be back”.
We’re around 45”ish” minutes in, & she offered me a slice of pie or cake. I kindly declined the offer.
FINALLY around 50-55”ish” minutes into my wait, she brought my ONE BURGER I ORDERED to the counter. She offered my $2 I left for the waitress (who wasn’t even serving me), & I declined that. I told her “no ma’am, that’s the little server’s tip, but if the owners want to give me a little kick back then I’ll accept that”. She replied “I’m sorry, we can’t do that”. So I kindly said “thank you” & walked out to get back on the road.
I say ALLLLLLLLLLLLL that above to say the lady up front was AMAZING! The burger was decent. I definitely hate that this was my experience. I’ve been MANY places in my life, & can’t recall anything going quite like the mentioned above.

Two of us had BBQ and one catfish.
Both were great with good portions.
Owner and waitress were very nice!
We were stuffed but could not pass on the peanut butter pie, it was fantastic!

We ate there last Thursday, and you talk about DELICIOUS. Everything we had was great, and those cowboy beans were some of the best beans I ever put in my mouth. The staff, and the service was excellent. Thank you Shoal Creek Market and Grill. We’ll be back there to eat very soon!!
