The food had been super,I usually order there regularly,but I called and complained about how the dressing was bland,no taste and I called and they said come back and get something else,so over the phone I told Her the Manager ,and She said okay,so I hand over them my plate to show them what I had order,when they came back to window they handed me the same plate that I had gave them and 2 cups of black eyed peas, so I drove back to the window and they said oh you can’t get anything else but pork chop, it looked like they just threw A piece of pork chop in the plate and A roll,like this what you get,and nothing like I had order,23.00 is A lot to spend and they throw anything at you,and the rest of my food was not handed back to Me,so that is bad business, will not be supporting them anymore, was disappointed and I had to drive A far piece to take the food back

Wow!! I really regret not trying Refined To Go sooner! I’m telling you, this was some of the best food I’ve had in the state of Alabama. We tried the chicken picatta and the Brussels sprout salad. Both were absolutely incredible! We’re already planning on what new thing we will try from there next week! If you haven’t been, go immediately! You won’t regret it!

Soul Food Sunday’s from Refined To-Go Helena is top tier! I have not eaten a meal from there that I have not thoroughly enjoyed. Yesterday, I had the most tender and seasoned to perfection, Neck Bones w/Potatoes, Peppers & Onions, along with my selected sides and the meal was absolutely awesome. Chef James has mastered Soul Food Sundays, as well as his Superb Seasonal Menu offerings.
Visiting from California on Soul Food Sunday. The food was great, the vibe was nice; the service was great. There was seating which I did not expect.
“the roast beef was good. it melts in your mouth! i might have to come back just for that.” - my auntie.
The cream of corn was nice, creamy and sweet. A few of us found the macaroni and roast a bit too salty. I wasn’t a fan of the greens. The ratings are the average from a party of 9.
It was busy around when they opened. i think we waited around 30 minutes.

Chef James is AMAZING! My brother and I ate there for lunch today, July 18, 2025. First timers. My brother had the pork chop, bacon jam, sauteed greens, slice of tomato and polenta. The juiciest pork chop you have ever seen. He LOVED it.
I had the chicken Piccata. Capers, lemon, asparagus, arugula and shaved parmesan. BURSTING with flavor. Each bite was steamy hot until the last bite. So much flavor! We will be back.
If you haven't been here, RUN to it. Chef James will work his magic for you, too!!!

I don't know who's Ainty, not Auntie, is in that kitchen but she's there. First time visiting for takeout Sunday dinner, 7/20/25 and the warm service, food, and presentation were beyond excellent! I enjoyed the fried pork chop, collards, fried okra, mac 'n cheese, and a moist cornbread muffin. Thank you everyone! I'm full and very satisfied. 👩🏽🦱

Been wanting to try RTG for a while and haven’t. Ordered the steak tonight to treat myself for being a good boy….It was amazing! I’m kicking myself for not trying before. This place and the Chef are absolutely legit. Can’t wait to try other dishes. Thank you Chef.
