The Depot Deli and Grill is one of those rare spots that instantly feels like home. The owner knows my child by name and remembers her order every single time, even hand-delivering our food and treating us like family.
The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the view of the waterfall adds a beautiful, peaceful backdrop to every meal. My daughter is extremely particular about her hamburger—it has to be perfect or she won’t eat it—but The Depot delivers spot-on flavor and cooking every single visit.

Ok chef salad. All iceberg lettuce. Only 1/2 of an egg. I know eggs are $, but dang. Cook/food delivery guy just yells out numbers and they are not in any order. Wife was 44 and ordered about 2 ppl before me (I was late as usual) and my # was 11. So you need to listen out. Not the cleanest place but not dirty. Wife’s hot dogs looked barely cooked but she said they were fully cooked.

I’ve procrastinated this review long enough. It’s like telling folks where one of your favorite fishing holes is. Plenty of locals know, but these folks deserve the recognition. It’s advertised as a deli and grill, open Tu-Sa. It’s more than that. It’s a small town hub. It’s a peaceful view of the creek on the back deck. It’s kind folks behind the scenes, serving up comfort food. It also happens to be a piece of Alabama history. It’s not a flashy big town stop, but a destination worth the ride.
