11/03/25 at around 1:30. Mixed review, we had two very different meals. Her's was the chicken mole and it was a generous portion and delicious. Mine was the pazole and it was a big dissapointment. I am a big eater and ordered the large portion. It came in a very large bowl and consisted of a thin broth that wasn't to my taste but I don't like cilantro and that was the main flavor. Homewood El Barrio has the same great menu and service as the 2nd Ave spot! 🤩 The Homewood location even has parking, which is a huge plus. 🅿️ You might still have to wait for a table, but trust me, the food is totally worth it. 🤤 They have amazing vegetarian options like plantain nachos, jackfruit tacos, and chili relleno. 🌮🌶️ And definitely ask for their homemade salsa trio! 🌶️🌶️🌶️

The Homewood El Barrio location has an attractive and inviting ambiance. The staff are all very welcoming. I ordered the veggie quesadilla- my food was well-prepared, tasted great and the portions were generous. My server, Whitney R. was friendly, efficient and customer service focused.
