“Came here with my fiancé this evening and was greeted by the owner. We got ice cold modelo on draft and shared a steak quesadilla! EVERYTHING was amazing! The salsa for the chips was great! The chips were HUGE and warm. So fresh! The quesadilla was big but a glorious portion. If you haven’t checked this place out yet, you really should!”

The server was nice and thoughtful. The food was good. The menu selection offered some regional favorites and an interesting mix of ethnic items. But if you just want basic breakfast items, they are off them as well.We sat near the upstairs windows about two tables away. And I think the grill cook was very busy because a team member rolled the floor to the ceiling window open. Which caused us to scramble in our purses for our Allergy Tabs‼️ Tree pollen season. Bad idea.It was an extremely windy day also.But we made it thru, the food was filling, and everything went smooth until time to pay. Our server brought us the wrong ticket, or I should say tickets with two different totals. We figured it out and brought it to her attention, and the issue was finally resolved .So if you're looking for a good breakfast, the food was great.”

Unfortunately, we were sat on the first table in front of the door going in/coming out and next to their drink station/wall. There was a lot of traffic and a lot of water on the patio floor. The service was good, but slow to take our order, refill glasses, and bring check. There were 3 of us and we ordered (1) the Lasagna Bolognese - which was excellent, (2) the Spicy Rigatoni Vodka with Shrimp - also excellent, and (3) the Spaghetti & Meatballs - which was ok, but a bit bland. Price of food is about what we expected for this food and location. Overall, enjoyed the restaurant.”

Although it seemed overcooked which took away from the flavor of the corn .”

“I am excited that Ms. Simone will be opening her new event center/catering service in CenterPoint,Alabama. On Easter Sunday, I had the pleasure of visiting her business and tasting the infamous macaroni and cheese, beef tips and rice, collard greens, cornbread, etc.... very delicious.! The atmosphere was refreshing and relaxing once I entered the establishment. Simone's mother has been a good friend of mine for many years. She hosted Sunday's Easter dinner with plenty of love and blessings. I am excited to visit Simone's business again this summer.”

“We ate dinner there. I had the meatloaf sandwich and my wife had a shrimp poboy. Both were good.We bought a whole pound cake to take home. At first it seemed dry and stale. After a couple of days it's much more moist and flavorful. Go figure.”

“Southern Hospitality in America is real... we took a drive-by to Rodney Scott’s BBQ, here in Homewood, Alabama, to try our luck at 8.30am (service 11am). Looking like a couple of weirdos peering through the windows, the manager, Aaron Shoop, came out to see what we wanted. Explaining that we were from New Zealand and fans of Rodney and BBQ, we were invited in, given the full kitchen tour and then we were offered some menu items for take away (all paid for of course). Great chat with Aaron and Joel Brown about New Zealand BBQ and our trip through the states so far, and a few takeaway tips for hogg cooking and BBQ back home.Setting up a make shift picnic out the back of the SUV in the carpark - we feasted. There's only been 1 other occasion on this trip where my perspective of good BBQ flavor and texture has shifted... this was the second. Pulled whole hogg and ribs. The sauces - WOW!. Oh my! The flavor, the char, and the textures offered were excellent. So good! Mouth watering! Sides of Potato Salad and Slaw were a great addition.With full bellies, we're driving away to our next destination, I feel a sense of satisfaction that only good food can offer. “Farm Bowl is a super cute, fresh juice and acai bowl shop in downtown Homewood. The decor is very bright and welcoming which matches their staff's vibe. During a recent visit I tried the power up smoothie after finishing a workout and it was great. The woman behind the counter was very patient as I browsed the menu and gave some suggestions for things to add in. Even though the smoothie has banana in it, the banana didn't take over the entire flavor profile, which is a win! Excited to keep trying new fresh and healthy menu options.”

About once every 6 or 7 weeks I get their regular sized fat free, sugar free vanilla or butter pecan (whichever is available), and it does not cause weight gain, nor prevent weight loss. “We have been to some wonderful Maple Street Biscuit Company's all over the country. This one is the best in my book. Why? Because of the staff. The normal Maple Streets are BUSY and normally chaotic. This one has had the beat vibe all morning, while still being busy. There is a gentleman who spoke to me who is an employee who noticed my red mug I like to use instead of drinking out of plastic. There was something about that guy. It's like he knows that Jesus Guy we are so fond of. The lady at the cash register was super sweet also. And the biscuits? A squawking goat made my morning MUCH better today!”

They weren't that busy, but it wasn't empty, either. Understaffed, but the employees that were there were doing their best to keep the buffet stocked, and we never had to wait that long for new pizzas.
