I’m way behind in offering a recommendation for the Homewood location of Maya. Between there and the Alabaster location, my Mexican food cravings are more than covered and they are always patient with my substitutions and the like. Service is top-notch and the food is excellent. Highly recommended!
Luv luv luv the atmosphere of this place! The bartender Melli is the truth! She’s super nice and just sooooo sweet! Her drinks are fire!!
Server could have been a little more attentive but seems she was stretched pretty thin. Overall great food and pleasant atmosphere

Maya Mexican Restaurant offers delicious food, great service, and a lively atmosphere. The tacos, cheeseburger, and beef fajita taco salad are customer favorites, and the adult beverages are also praised. The restaurant is described as colorful, festive, and having terrific lunch prices. Customers are eager to return. Recent reviews highlight the quick service, especially for burritos, quesadillas, and homemade guacamole. The space can be loud with lots of people, but conversation is still possible without yelling. Margaritas are delicious and reasonably priced. The restaurant is a fun place for celebrations and gatherings. Occasionally, service issues like forgotten tortillas or wait times occur, but overall, it remains a popular spot for mainstream Mexican food and good drinks.
