Wow the reviews weren't kidding, this really is the best restaurant in Homewood, Alabama.Service: As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by the staff and they were very friendly, welcoming and felt at ease. Sam's Deli makes one of the two best falafels in the Birmingham Area, and among the best in the USA. His tabouli is also excellent, served with warm pita bread wedges. He also makes terrific mint sweet and unsweet tea. His french fries are among the best here - crispy on the outside, soft and really "potato-ey" on the inside. Sam's deli is a Mediterranean fusion grill and deli. You can get more traditional food like gyros or American food like a roast beef sandwich and French fries. I tried the gyro sandwich and though the food wasn't anything super special, the value is awesome. You can't find many places to get a sandwich for $7 any more.
