Chop Suey Inn | Chinese is a beloved spot known for its excellent, made in house egg rolls, which are considered the best in greater Birmingham area and reminiscent of Joy Youngs. The egg rolls are gigantic, big meat stuffed, and not full of cabbage. The food is great and the service is fast and superb. The shrimp egg foo young is a standout, with a savory gravy that steals the show, and the egg foo young is excellent. Other popular meals include large hot and sour soup, wonton soup with pork, pork with garlic sauce, Mongolian Beef, Shrimp with Lobster Sauce, and General Tso's chicken. The best sweet and sour sauce is sweet and creamy. The atmosphere is nice, though it can be pretty warm. Prices have become high, more like a 5-star restaurant instead of a dive, which may be a concern for some. Overall, this place is a winner, and visitors will be visiting frequently.
