“Ok, so I’ve been to SoHo Standard for brunch many, many times and it is my absolute FAVORITE dining experience in Birmingham. We stopped in yesterday afternoon for some cocktails and they were having a happy hour. It was absolutely incredible! We enjoyed the feta dip and the bacon wrapped dates. Delicious and you cannot beat the price!!! I was wishing that we didn’t have a dinner reservation for later in the evening so that we could just eat there! The drinks were also fantastic. I had an espresso martini and a Moscow mule. One of the best espresso martinis I’ve ever had. Stephanie was our server and she was amazing! Super sweet and attentive. I cannot want to go back and try more off their happy hour and dinner menus!!!“

“The Homewood location is spacious and excellent for groups or families. They indoor and outdoor seating available. Midday lunch reservations are easy to secure via Resy. The owner Joshua was in the restaurant when we visited in the fall. He is nice and willing to share his path to establishing the eatery. We had chicken enchiladas and a taco plate. They were not the biggest plates but taste pretty good. The tortillas are made in house and that helps. You can see views of the equipment used to produce them. The house margarita is about 10 oz for $10 anytime of the day. It’s not bad and there is a separate bar if you want to hang out and catch a game.“

Between there and the Alabaster location, my Mexican food cravings are more than covered and they are always patient with my substitutions and the like. “I was genuinely excited to try this restaurant after passing by it so many times while traveling through Downtown Homewood. Unfortunately, my experience was a bit of a letdown. That said, it wasn’t terrible by any means, which is why I’m giving it 3 stars. A friend and I dined here together as most of my readers know, I often bring someone along for reviews to offer more than just my own perspective. Appetizer: We started with the Tallulah Wings, opting for the Sweet Heat Dry Rub with Alabama White BBQ sauce. The first surprise was that the wings arrived already coated in the sauce. In my opinion, when a sauce is meant as a dip, it’s best served on the side, not as a coating. Unfortunately, the wings themselves were quite underseasoned it reminded me of drinking a LaCroix, with just a faint whisper of the sweet heat flavor. That said, the little flavor I could taste had a nostalgic charm, reminiscent of Golden Flake potato chips and those are undeniably delicious. I just wish the wings had packed more of a punch. Entrée: Next, we tried the Social Stack, essentially their version of a McDonald's Big Mac. I have to say, it was significantly better than a Big Mac. The sauce was flavorful, the patties were fresh and well-seasoned, and everything came together beautifully. It’s a rich burger, but the crispy, seasoned fries helped balance that richness. The freshness and flavor made this burger a standout I’d absolutely order it again. If it weren’t for the disappointing wings, this meal would have earned a solid 4 out of 5 stars. As it stands, I’m giving it 3 out of 5. However, I do plan to return and explore more of their menu. I believe there’s potential here, and I’m hopeful my next visit will be a more satisfying experience.“

“I haven't been to this place a lot since moving here because I live next to another pizza spot, until recently when my parents moved next door. Now I can't stop thinking about this crust. My favorite pizza in Birmingham. My BIL came up recently and said the hot chick may be his fave pizza ever, and he's really picky. I also love the 90s vibe and it's very easy to order on their website. I now have it saved to favorites. Highly recommend.“

“My wife grew up in the Birmingham area and swore this was the best chinese food restaurant ever. We actually live in the Atlanta area now, but every chance we get we travel from the west side of the Atlanta area just to purchase chinese food from this restaurant. I was in the Birmingham area today and I stopped by to purchase a meal before I return back to Atlanta. The portion are vary generous 😇 it not a bad meal 😋 on the menu. They are famous for their handmade egg rolls oversize. I purchased six egg rolls, pepper steak, beef and broccoli, and shrimp fried rice. For my wife I purchased Mongolian and chicken, and sautéed broccoli in brown sauce 😋 each meal we also purchased a small portion of fried rice four each! Once again if you're ever in the Birmingham area this restaurant is a must stop by and get. They are now allowing you to dine in and eat as well 😋“

“Been here twice now with my wife she has cancer and was craving seafood. Only 5 miles from UAB. Seafood was excellent crawfish cooked well and well seasoned, salt and pepper Shimp large and fresh, best fried blue crabs I think I have ever eaten. I get around a lot Georgia, Florida , and Alabama for work. Definitely will return.“

They have blueberry vanilla flavor and strawberry vanilla flavor. We ordered the blueberry vanilla. It was topped with blueberries and a vanilla sauce. It was awesome. We didn't even need any actual syrup“
