“Went to Amore tonight for our anniversary dinner. Our waiter, Robert, was outstanding explaining the specials of the day and suggesting a great wine which really complimented our dinner of shrimp and lobster linguine which was cooked to perfection. Our dessert of crème brûlée was spectacular! The best meal we have had in a while and I highly recommend Amore for a truly enjoyable experience.“

Cant say enough about their pizza. Thin crust. Able to enjoy the pizza and not have a mouth full of bread. Fast service. Love the professionalism of the owner / bakers. They had on a chef coats and “Italy” caps. The place was extremely clean and VERY inviting. My friend that I went with used the facilités and she came out and was remarking how awesome the bathrooms even were. Def will be eating there again and again. Welcome to Trussville.“

“Excellent service & food. We will be back. The restaurant was cozy and clean and quite Italian interior. Would be good for a date night. The server allowed my Mom & I to split an entree. The sides were a la carte with pasta dishes. They have plenty of salads but I would suggest they add something like green beans to the menu...a green vegetable besides salad. The bread was soft and tasty. I would suggest spaghetti noodles vs rigatoni/penne for the chicken parm but chicken was great.“

“I got general tso chicken and it was very good. My only complaint is that they outer watercress in it instead of broccoli, which I found to be a very unpleasant flavor and texture combination so I had to remove them. If they shifted to broccoli it would have been perfect“

“They made a reservation and some of our people were early, of everyone in our party had to wait for everyone to get there and all walk in together. So some of our people were late and they canceled our reservations it’s my Grandson 16th Birthday Party!! I tried to order my Grandson a pizza, I was told it would be 20 minutes for one large pepperoni and sausage pizza after 25 minutes, I was told it would be 20 more minutes, we were all ready having to go find somewhere else to eat!!! I had to get my money back and wait on the manager to ok everything . So no food and 16th Birthday party ruined!!!“

“Food was good. My husband really enjoyed the sushi with the exception of the 'white tuna'. Not sure that was actually tuna. My husband stated the texture was a little off so maybe it was the fake tuna, the escolar. But other than that, all the other fish he had was excellent. I had the steak bento box and I guess I should have expected this with the rise in beef prices, but it did seem like there was way too much broccoli hidden under the steak pieces. The vegetable tempura was perfect. The young man that waited on us was super nice and the service was excellent. I think my biggest complaint was how the staff started sweeping up around us as we were trying to finish our food. We arrived about 8 PM which was an hour before they are scheduled to close. They turned the televisions off and started cleaning and sweeping about 8:45. Yes, we were the last people there, and I realize they wanted to leave and get home to their families, but imagine trying to eat while people are stirring up dust all around you by sweeping. We were finished and out the door at about 8:55.“

“Yesterday was my first time at Olexa’s and the experience was great. Our waitress was very helpful with her recommendations for a first-timer. She recommended the Smoked Turkey Sandwich with a side salad. It was delicious and came out quickly given there was a full house at lunchtime. We also had a slice of the quiche of the day which was delicious also. By the end of my meal, I was very full but of course, there’s always room for dessert. She raved about the cake and yes, I had a slice of the warm buttercream cake. It was so good. I’ve been raving about Olexa’s since yesterday and will return with family and friends.“

“The manager, Art , noticed that I seemed to be chilly and was hugging myself . I was seated under an air-conditioning vent and he came over and told me he had adjusted the thermostat and offered me a shawl which turned out to be soft, black and lovely and made all the difference so that my meal was quite enjoyable. “On Saturday, April 5, 2025, I had my retirement dinner at Culinary Dropout. There were twenty people in my party. Our server Natalie was a "little dynamo". Even the restaurant was crowded due prom season, she got all drink orders promptly. The starters orders arrived soon after. Then the entrees. She was there for drink refills and other requests. She handled the situation with grace, kindness and professionalism. Her and the other wait staff were truly exceptional. The bartenders got drink orders promptly and made to protection. They made my 25 year retirement celebration truly awesome! I will definitely book any future events with this amazing restaurant. Kudos!!!!“

The food is absolutely amazing! they've got a beautiful waitress as well, she's always really kind and really sweet and really outgoing, very personable. she's very knowledgeable of the menu, always has a smile on her face and always makes you feel like your family when you come in. the prices are really great as well. there's nowhere else you can go to get an entree for $15.99, that's about average at location. you can't go to McDonald's for that. great food, great fun, great times, and I look forward each time that I go.
