The doughnuts themselves are the real star. HERO’s treats are not the overly sweet, mass-produced kind; they have substance and balance. The cake-style offerings are moist with a slight chew, and the glazes have flavor without being cloying. One standout was the bread pudding doughnut, which managed to toe the line between indulgence and restraint.  Even the simpler glazed option carries an earthy richness that makes each bite linger.

The cashier working this morning/afternoon went above and beyond by walking my order out to my car as I wrangled my kids. I didn’t catch his name, but he had a tattoo on his neck. Such a pleasant encounter 🙌🏼 sending you all the good juju, sir

First time visiting the location Homewood and I must say the food was surprisingly good. I say this because my family and I passed by, and suddenly decided we’d eat here— only to find out they close 35 minutes later. The cashier, he was pretty nice, however there was a young lady who almost ruined the experience for us with her terrible attitude. She told me “I could see her” whatever that meant.
Drove all the way up from Columbiana to pick up breakfast. Was well worth it. The staff was super friendly and helpfull. They accidentally forgot my hash browns but they were able to get me before I left. Picked up the most amazing donuts for dessert.

Very friendly staff. Some of the most fun “unique” donuts you can find in Bham. They also have great savory options there if you are just looking for a meal (I like their version of chicken minis). Very welcoming and delightful staff.

I am sorry but I have had way better donuts. The price that is charged for their donuts is not worth it. The Banana Pudding Donut has no flavor whatsoever. And the Boston Creme is bland as well.
