I hadn't been to Jackson's in several years, but I remembered really loving it a lot and decided to bring my parents here when they were in from out of town on weeknight. Our waitress was entirely friendly, but the venue and food were disappointing. The space seemed much dirtier than I had remembered, as though the floors hadn't been swept and the booth hadn't been wiped down. The food was a big let down: we ordered some Brussels sprouts that were so salty they were almost inedible, and the salmon dish was just nothing special. With so many great places literally within walking distance, I can't say I have a good reason to go back again to Jackson's.

The Reuben was first notch! Serve was very good and the UFO white Belgium was a good choose with lunch.

Decent food. Place isn't very busy. Could be a great hangout.

The food made me go back and think about how good childhood was. Only reason it does not get fave stars is because it was cold has hell in there. But a good place to be when the heat comes back.

Surprising it's still in business given the other delicious & clean options in the area. Bathroom is disgusting - full container of sink water, toilet leaking, no paper towels (mind you this is only 1 hour after they opened so no excuses for this) and dirty walls & floor. If this is what the bathroom looks like....what does the kitchen look like?

"Some days you're the bug, some days you're the windshield" goes the lyrics to a country song. In this review, I will be a little bit of a windshield.

I can't even begin to count the number of times that I have been to Jackson's over the last several years - breakfast, lunch, and dinner. If there's a word to explain this place, it's consistent. I have never had a bad experience when it comes to my food or service ever. Some of my favorites on the menu includes the champagne salmon Caesar salad when I feel like being good and anything that includes the pimento cheese - either the BLT or pimento burger - when I want to be bad. The verde dip appetizer can be eaten straight from the bowl with nothing but a spoon it is SO GOOD. Brunch at Jackson's is also great. The grits are awesome and the biscuits are huge. Excellent place for a late weekend breakfast. Finally - do yourself a favor and save room for dessert. The gooey butter cake is the stuff dreams are made of, but y'all, I have 4 words for you.... Cookie Dough Egg Roll. Omg!!!! Get the cookie dough egg rolls!!! Don't even share. Eat the whole thing alone and don't even feel bad about it. Fried egg roll wrappers filled with soft, melty cookie dough served hot under a huge scoop of delicious vanilla ice cream. Geez. Just go try it.

Best ceasar salad ever! Fresh, cold and crisp lettuce. The homemade dressing should be bottled and sold!

Worst service and food ever! Server was completely rude and condescending. Service was so horrible! We reported it twice and yet it got worse! Food was horrid! I ordered salmon and waiter said it would be cooked medium, which isn't great but usually fine. It was so over cooked it was no longer pink and the rice was so over cooked I was spitting it out! Brussel sprouts should NEVER be boiled before they are broiled!! Just bad! And it was completely empty on a Thursday night! That should have been the first sign! If you use to like it, trust me, it's changed! Skip it! Soho Social across the street was hopping! We'll go there next time!

I had excellent salmon here. Service was great. All 8 except the toddler in our group was pleased with our food. But toddlers are finicky and she was tired.

We've recently started coming here and we're confused why it wasn't packed considering the weekly specials are pretty awesome and the food is great! Service is good, prices could be better ($10-12 for a burger). It looks like maybe the new management has done a good job turning the place around, I would definitely recommend this place!

Went there today for happy hour with a group of friends. There was sufficient seating and we had a great time. I ordered the sangria, which was delicious. They only had four appetizers available for half price during happy hour 3pm-6pm. Our service was great and parking was a plus.

Relaxed sports bar atmosphere. Fun to sit outside on warm nights. Save room for dessert, the blonde brownie is amazing.

Can't tell you if the food is good or not. Arrived and told “short wait.” Serveral, repeat several, open tables available and three tables needed to be bused. (Not enough wait staff? Didn't appear so.) Couple comes in 5 minutes after us and hostess takes them to the bar. She then takes orders from them, serves them drinks, and then talks to them for several minutes. She then sees me looking at her and then comes over and tells us “5 minutes” and immediately goes back to chatting it up at the bar. 15 minutes later we left. So no staff for the open tables - possible. But can a hostess bus a table that is clearly being used? Evidently not at this restaurant. Other than the two behind us who she seated, we were the only waiting customers for the almost 30 minutes we were there. Don't know if she was discriminating against us, but it became clear to us that she had no interest in giving us a table. If that's the approach to customers coming in the door, not sure I'd trust the food anyway...
