Dining feels authentic, hearty, and delightful

The food was amazing. Fried catfish, fried green tomatoes, chicken pot pie, grits, red beans and rice.
Service was good and fast.
The only downside was the restroom. Clean it up and it would be an all around excellent experience.

The food and service is too notch. Only thing I noticed was bathroom cleanliness and the lack of space while getting to go get drinks... However, the place was busy and for good reason. The food. Oh. My. Goodness. Please pack it and ship to the continental US. I need it when I go back to Missouri.

I had the Sovlaki which was beautifully done. I looked around and many people had the pot pie which looked really good! I was hoping for a little more Greek things like domathes or some Greek desserts but they didn't have them.

Long line out the door at 1130 on a Sumday but moved very quickly. Plenty of seating inside. Food was very good.

Always great food!
The room is a little cramped but it's downtown Homewood so not much they can do about that.

The meat-and-three plate had solid Southern staples—fried pork chop, mac and cheese, collard greens—though the cornbread was a bit dry. Staff stayed friendly and efficient, and the casual neighborhood setting made it feel genuine and familiar.

Best lunch in the state!

We got there at a busy lunchtime. Too loud with the music. Left without even looking at menu. Parking terrible. Especially for handicap.

Fast, delicious, and worth the price. I recommend the hamburger steak or Greek chicken with lemon butter.

Good ole’ southern cooking! Fried catfish was the best I have ever had, the mac n cheese was up there, too! Stopped while in the area and I’m so happy that I did! If you’re thinking about trying this place out, do yourself a favor and go! (;

We came on a Friday after touring Samford University. This place was highly recommended by previous students so to give my boys part of the college experience we stopped in for lunch. While the line was to the door, it didn’t take long for us to get to the counter and place our order. The food arrived just about as fast as it took us to get our drinks and sit. We had the chicken pot pie, squash casserole, Mac n cheese, hamburger steak with mashed potatoes and butter beans and OMG the flavor is over the top! Highly worth the wait and price. We will certainly be back!
