Review is for Italian Ice only, since that's all we had and the reason we hunted this place down. My basis for comparison is Rita's Italian Ice. The texture isn't as smooth as Rita's but the flavor is very natural, so fruity and delicious!!! I'll be back!

Great neighborhood spot for a quick sweet treat or a homemade dinner. They have a partially rotating menu every month that highlights specialties from other countries. The Australian meat pie was very tasty. The crust was very flaky and buttery which was perfect. The seating is minimal so get there early to grab a seat inside.

This is a wonderful sweet shop and they serve some wicked good food too! I wanted to get out of the house and not cook, this little shop is pretty close to my home so I decided to give it a try, I am so glad I did too! I had a Reuben panini that was so good I wanted to order a second, I also had a hand made mango soda, yes they make handcrafted sodas in demand too. Before leaving I ordered a Caramel White Moca from Charlie the barista, it was the perfect cap to a wonderful dinner! If your in Homewood, I would definitely suggest a stop in for ice cream (they make their own, all natural!), food, or a coffee. Especially the coffee, it was better than my regular star bucks and cheaper too.

I had the grilled cheese just as a snack and it was fantastic!!! I can’t believe they sell dinner now! Definitely a one stop shop, beer, ice cream, and awesome dinner! Also the service was amazing! I had Charlie and he was very knowable.

We tried Magic City Sweet Ice for dinner and it was good but won't be ideal for some. The menu seems to change nightly and we went on Australian night. The only item on the menu was a meat pie served with a green salad. Despite being the only diners, it took 40 minutes to get food. They explained that they had to remake the meals because "one didn't look right". If it takes 20 minutes to turn out two entrees, I can't imagine how backed up they get when they're busy. The pie was very good. The meat was nicely seasoned and the puff pastry crust was flaky and golden. The salad dressing was way too sweet for my diabetic taste buds. My $2.50 highball sized of iced tea with no refills was a bit of a shocker. A glass of tea that expensive should be in a big honking bottomless glass like my grandmother served. The speed and lack of choice was a deal killer for my wife. IMO, they really need 2-3 entree choices each night. Only having one is a tough sell for most families. It's also a bit pricy given all factors. Two tiny glasses of tea and two meat pies was around $40. At that price point, we expected more. The people are super nice, the space is awesome but the lack of choice makes it a deal killer for us.

I first sampled some of the food at a local food festival and wanted to run to this restaurant after the first bite! I came in for the Tuesday special jambalaya and braised chicken. The chicken is cooked perfect, falling off the bone tender. The jambalaya had the perfect amount of spice and kick! Definitely could tell this food was made with love. I got one of the Tipsy Treats, peach mango dragon fruit sobers. Super yummy! I came back later with my bf and he had the Jen's Gin Lemon Drop, it was PERFECT! I'm so excited to try everything on the dinner special and tipsy treats!
