Our favorite bar in Bham, hands down. Taffy and Di are the best bartenders in the city! They make everyone feel welcome. The ambience is exactly what you’d want in a dive bar. If you’re in the Homewood area, this funky little dive is an absolute can’t miss! Make sure to bring some dollar bills for the jukebox when you stop by!

Talk about a DIVE! Went here with some “friends” the other day… had a blast… and can’t forget about Taffy oh Taffy behind the bar. Sweet angel and she makes it feel just like home. Our crew had a few on draft and pumped the tunes on the juke like the old days. Would lounge here again in a heartbeat. Great patty-oh outside and inside is great too. Lots of great stuff here at red lion.

A real bar with real people. Not quite "Cheers" but plenty of regulars that create a kind of family atmosphere. Drinks are stiff and affordable, the jukebox holds a lot of classics, the decorations are quirky, and guests as well as staff are welcoming and friendly. Not ADA compliment and no one under the age of 21 is admitted.The bar is a little too simple, too worn, and too divy to deserve a 5 star rating but that doesn't mean that you cannot have a 6 star experience at this place
