Stopped by Rodneys BBQ and it was fantastic! I knew he was a pit master from Food Network. The meat was tender and flavorful. The service was quick and very attentive. I will definitely come again when I'm in town.

I order pickup from here regularly and it is always a pleasant experience. The food is so good, my go to is the rib sandwich. The ribs are smoky and tender with just the right amount of seasoning. For the price you get a large amount of food. The staff are always smiling and friendly which rounds out an overall great experience.

If you are looking for some tasty ribs, Rodney Scotts BBQ is a good place visit. They have four sauces to choose from. I liked the Bama 16 the best. The ribs are meaty. My wife enjoyed the brisket, which had a delicious smoky taste. My favorite side was the collard greens. They're perfectly cooked and seasoned. They serve cornbread with the ribs. That was a nice touch.

I ordered online through the website today, and when I went to pick up my food, I was basically treated like a thief and interrogated when I tried to leave with my order. A server came up behind me and pulled the bag away saying she needed proof of my order. I showed her my confirmation texts that the order was placed and then another when it was ready for pickup. This wasn’t good enough (even though it was the only bag there waiting to be picked up, so I guess deductive reasoning wasn’t being used here), and she said she needed something with my name. I told her that the texts were all I had and that I didn’t get anything with my name on it. A man walks up who I’m assuming was a manager and told me that the order came through on DoorDash and that they needed proof with my name. I reiterated yet again that I didn’t get anything from DoorDash or anything with my name. He then TURNED THE BAG AWAY FROM ME so I couldn’t see the ticket as if to quiz me and catch me in a lie and asked what was in the order. I told him exactly what I ordered, and he made this smug face as if he was only mildly satisfied and finally let me leave with my order. I will not be ordered from here ever again if this is the standard of customer service they provide at the Homewood location.

As an Austin Texas resident, home of Franklin's Barbeque, La Barbeque, and Interstellar Barbeque, I think I can rightfully say that I KNOW good barbecue. Well let me tell you Rodney Scott's is great Barbeque! We tried all the meats and found every one of them to be exceptional! There is a variety of sauces, our favorite being the Bama. The sides were great and we found the banana pudding and apple pie tart both to be swoonworthy. Highly recommend, and we will always go back if we are in the area!
