There was some awful smell outside of the building front door that could not be explained... The waiter in the bar area was our server for this visit and he was spot on... He kept our glasses full and readily available for anything we needed... We did not care for the red BBQ sauce but their white sauce was very good, being mayonnaise based... Recommend everyone try at least once!

Wow wow wow.id give you a zero if possible We’re up to $30 plus for a slab. Over half are riblets. Loved this place but will never darken there door again. Get a grip guys. Either sell ribs or don’t. Stop shortchanging the public. Goodbye and good luck.

The last few times we have decided to eat here, we were completely disappointed. Tasted like burnt charcoal. Couldn’t even taste the pork over the overwhelming burnt taste. Even covering it with sauce didn’t mask the taste. The only reason I am giving 2 stars is because the beans and mac and cheese were decent.

Went at lunch time and ordered slab of ribs. Worst ribs I’ve ever had. Must have been left over from closing the day before and reheated. Dry,crunchy and not good at all. My waiter was informed and offered to do nothing about it !!

Not a fan of tough ribs or their vinegar based sauce. Leftovers were better next day bc I reheated them in a pressure cooker. Finally were no longer tough.

Pretty decent place, but I must say that all the talk about the ribs, i wasn't entirely impressed. They turned out delicious but seemed like they had been sitting awhile. Meat was pretty tough and rubbery in some spots. Other than that, it is great location, great service, and atmosphere!

Ordered over the phone. Customer service is impeccable and those ribs are hella fire! Everything was delicious. Its an Alabama landmark and thus is comifrom a Tennessean.
I hate to say this but I won't go back. The ribs were tiny and tasteless and overcooked. The fries were delicious but they were $4. The slab of ribs $30+, I really wished they had better food and location. That 280 location is hard to get to and they never have a crowd like the one downtown or Tuscaloosa.

If you like down to earth BBQ in a bar like setting this is the place to try probably. Atmosphere is not much but if you want a quick BBQ for lunch it is worth the try. I have been here a few times and stick with the BBQ Beef Tips and Chips, they make their own chips by the way, and the tips are a good portion and all meat. I personally skip the bread as it is just a couple slices of regular white loaf bread, nothing spectacular but if you like to dip your bread into the BBQ side sauce I guess it works for the locals. Not my thing. I have had the Brisket sandwich but still personally prefer the Tips and Chips basket. Give it a try and make your own decision you probably won't regret it for lunch. Servers have always been very friendly and accommodating so that is a plus!!
