Decided to try this place out based on reviews. Was hoping to get their brunch but it was over by the time we arrived. Ordered the spicy Thai flatbread, which was good, and the Ole wrap which was pretty basic. Ordered one beer but they brought us two, so messed up our order there, and didn’t serve our drinks until after our food came out which is poor service to me. Place wasn’t overly busy. The bartender who took our order seemed like it was a bother I was ordering. Somehow for a $12 wrap and a $14 flatbread and 2 beers it’s was $48. Won’t be back and wouldn’t recommend.

Honestly, AMAZING food. Loved it so much which is why it dissapoints me just how dang skimpy they are with the side portions. I ordered online and got the burger, friend got the drunken master brat, we both got the mac n cheese and the portion was just unbelievably tiny.

Other then that, amazing food and a place seemingly ran by amazing people. I only dont visit in person because Im a cocktail kind of gal and can't stand hop based drinks [they give me migraines]. Would definitely reccomend going or ordering for good food and good vibes!

Amazing beer and cider selection, great food, and the best bar atmosphere anywhere around. Great wine and beer prices and selection for buying bottles to go. The staff is super helpful and the regulars are great as well. I've never had anything less than an amazing experience after many visits.

Brunch Experience Feedback

I’d like to offer a few suggestions to enhance the brunch experience:
1. Music Volume & Selection: During our visit, loud rock music with profanity was playing. While I understand this isn’t a traditional brunch spot, softer, more toned-down music during brunch service could broaden your appeal.
2. Service Model: Requiring guests to order and pay at the bar and return for refills is inconvenient and disrupts the flow of the meal. Table service would create a more enjoyable and relaxed dining experience.
3. Meal Timing: Meals should be served to the table at the same time. During our visit, my husband received his food 20 minutes before mine, which detracted from our shared meal experience.
4. Live Music Coordination: Once the musician begins warming up, the overhead music should be turned off. The competing sounds were overwhelming and made it difficult to enjoy the meal.

On a positive note, the food was pretty good. However, the overall experience, especially considering the cost and lack of table service, makes the drive to other brunch options like First Watch more appealing. I do hope to hear of improvements in the future. It is always great to see local businesses in Hoover thrive.
