The food was ok. The Shrimp & Grits were not traditional, they were served with a chorizo sauce which you may or may not like. I had half of the portion and did not have any desire to finish it or take it home. The okra julienne on top of the grits tasted like blackened dirt. I do not recommend this dish. Argent Seafood Gumbo was too spicy and salty. Finally, the pizza had way too much cornmeal on it. All you could taste was the grit of the cornmeal. My recommendation, just...
I couldn't t get a feel for the place. It feels like a mix of places. The food is also a selection of different types of cuisine. I ordered carnitas tacos. I couldn't taste the carnitas because of the corn and queso they topped them with. It's a twist and though it was not bad, i wouldn't order it again. BeeZr is our favorite place downtown. We love the outdoor patio with shade and fans and the fact they welcome our Great Dane with a large bowl of water. It’s a great place to enjoy drinks and appetizer( we love the wings and nachos) or for an evening meal(shrimp and grits, fish tacos or a fresh pizza).
