By far one of the most enjoyable times I had at a speakeasy. The experience was amazing. Our bartender Katie was fantastic. The drinks were the best I have ever had.

It's a nice space, but it's small and the bartenders LOVE making every drink smokey, so the space fills with smoke quickly. It's like they learned this one mixology trick and decided to open a bar before learning any others.

The owner is also extremely conceited and rude. Will remind you constantly that it's HIS bar and HE makes the rules, even when you're not doing anything other than sitting and talking. Very odd.

What an awesome little joint! We went there for the first time a couple weeks ago and loved the whole experience. I guarantee we will be back

Amazing speakeasy experience. The drinks were absolutely phenomenal and the bartender was fantastic. Her suggestion of everything works with everything was very true. They do things a little differently than other places so make sure to give it a go! Make a reservation online and enjoy the ride!

Have a drink spilled on you *by the bartender?* BYO napkins! Because he won't bring you any, and there's none on the tables.

If only the hospitality matched up to the mixology! Come here for the best drinks you will ever taste, possibly the coldest cocktail service you will ever experience.

Went to this place with my girlfriend on 12/30. Male bartender was rude and acted like we were a nuisance. The drinks were pretty good, but nothing great. The vibe is more geared towards the bartender choosing your drink for you based on the flavors you like, which is a good concept in theory but creates problems when you don’t like the drink they make or request adjustments. I considered giving this a 1 star because service was ridiculous, but the drinks were decent. Wouldn’t go back, no excuse for bad service when you’re paying $20 per drink.

Katie’s dedication to her craft was evident in each sip, whether it was a classic drink or one of her inventive creations. She took the time to understand our preferences, ensuring that each drink was tailored to perfection. Her engaging personality and attention to detail made the experience unforgettable. If you're looking for top-notch cocktails in an enchanting setting, Caracomb 435 with Katie behind the bar is a must-visit.

Pros:
Friendly staff and amazing bartenders
Underground atmosphere is cool
Drinks were mostly very tasty

Cons:
The place smells of intense smoke/scent. It is non-smoking but I think the smoke is from the drinks they make (smoked cocktails). My friend and I nearly had to leave due to the intensity of it.
It's the next morning and the smell is still in my nose and mouth.

$20 per their primary drink, so the cost is high for their cocktail experience. Between tax and tip you'll spend $80 for a few drinks.

The place is super tiny, kind of cramped but that will be an appeal for some. It's bad in combination with the intense smoke scent and lack of airflow.

In the end I couldn't ever bring my wife here or some friends because many people are sensitive to smoke and strong scents. That is unfortunate!

This is my first review in general, so this says a lot haha

Yesterday, I was so excited to try this speakeasy after hearing great things, especially since it was my birthday! I had booked an 11 pm reservation with two friends a couple of weeks in advance, double-checking the website to confirm they closed at 1 am and that we’d have the full two hours to enjoy our time.

On the night of, I received a text at 10:30 saying our table was ready, so I called to confirm we’d still be arriving at 11. When we got there, however, we barely had an hour to enjoy our drinks! Last call was strangely before way before 12 and we felt rushed out the door, despite having a two-hour reservation.

About an hour in, the staff started bringing our checks (my card was charged before 12) and turned off the music, even though the venue was supposed to be open until 1 am. It felt like we were being pushed out, as the staff watched us finish up impatiently. We ended up leaving by 12:15, well before closing, which was disappointing.

The vibe was cool at the beginning, but the disappointing service really ruined it. Definitely wouldn’t recommend it at the moment unless they can address these service issues.

I recently visited Catacomb to celebrate a friend's birthday, and while the drinks were fantastic, the experience was marred by staffing issues and inconsistent reservation management.

We made a reservation for 11 PM but received a text at 10:30 saying our table was ready. We called to confirm we’d be arriving at our original time. When we arrived, we had about one hour to finish our drinks before we were pushed out of the door, despite having a two-hour reservation.

It felt rushed, as we were watched impatiently while we finished our drinks. We left by around 12:15, well before closing, which was frustrating considering we had booked months in advance for this occasion. It felt as if they called us in early thinking they’d get to go home early, and when we didn’t come early they decided they were leaving then anyway.

I hope they can address these service issues, as the drinks were great, but the overall experience was disappointing.

An unimportant detail, it’s super smokey and humid in there, I’m assuming from the smoked wood chips for the Old Fashioned.

By far the most incredible bar experience I've ever had! This bar is a quaint, low profile, and intimate little space that allows for personal conversations & it could be used as nicer place for am event but also casual but planned out in advance. You do have to reserve ahead of time - at least 2 weeks if you want your desired time & date - it fills up quick. However, well worth it for us planners, as our bartender & owner I believe was extremely knowledgeable in terms of mixology and incorporating flavors, smells, and appearances that I've never seen before. If I could give above a 5 star I WOULD! I wish I lived in HSV so I could enjoy this place more often. One drink is very fairly priced considering the thought, intention, and personality of each drink. Had 4 drinks in 2 hours and tab was around 80 after tax. Reservations are 2 hours so be on time!

Dietary restrictions: The bartender mentioned about being able to avoid certain allergies as well as providing options for gluten free. I'd ask more on specifics though if that applies to you!
