We really enjoy this place! The decor is really cute and something different. The restaurant is always clean and tidy inside and out. They have seating side and patio seating outside. The guy who cuts the meat is nice as he can be and we enjoy a conversation every time we go in there. I hear people complaining about portion sizes but I’ve never been disappointed in it; I never finish the two meat combo. This is the only place I know that actually knows how to cook a decent brisket and the wet brisket is full of flavor. The chicken is my second favorite, also full of flavor. The pulled pork isn’t dry like the competition. Everyone raves on Lawlers but meh, they are basically fast food compared to this place. I will agree that the prices are higher than they could be but I’ll pay more for better quality!

Some the best BBQ I’ve had! The brisket and Mac & Cheese were especially great.

Loved it! Got the pork sandwich and it was the best I have ever had. The mac and cheese was so good too. Can't wait to go back. (Staff was super friendly to)

Food was very good. My great granddaughter enjoyed the Mac and Cheese. We got there close to closing time so disappointed they were out of ribs so we settled for brisket. I guess because it was near closing time my husband commented it was a little dry. Still, everything else was good.

Long story: wound up in wayyyy south Huntsville for a Walmart pickup because there were no time slots available at my neighborhood location. Naturally, my order was delayed, so I found myself out there with nothing to do. Nothing, that is, except grab lunch at a bbq spot I'd never tried before!I've heard about Chuckwagon for years. It's supposed to be the only place in town to get legit Texas style brisket. This one in south Huntsville is actually run by the son of the owner of the original location. The original Chuckwagon is out in Madison.I did at first try to go through the drive through but no one seemed to be manning it. Everyone's understaffed right now so I don't really hold it against them. The interior commits to the whole Texas identity thing, to the point where it's almost a bit. It's kinda cute though and I can definitely see little kids loving all the cowboy silhouettes and horse statues and so on.The service was very friendly, if maybe a little slow. I think they were more held up by the lady in front of me rather than an unwillingness to move quickly, though; she was really chatty lol. One of the girls told me about all the cheeses and the Rotel that goes in the mac while I waited, which totally sold me.Texas brisket is...whatever. Family's from Memphis so we tend not to go there, lol. I'm a pork bbq lady, myself. So that's what I ordered: a pork plate with mac and cheese and green beans, with jalapeño cornbread and a sweet tea to drink.I took it out to my car to minimize potential exposure and ate there while I waited. Overall, I was pretty pleased with my meal. The mac and cheese was a tiny bit greasy (that's what happens with that much cheese though, haha), but flavorful with a light kick. The green beans were well seasoned, too -- nice. Most of the time they really need salt or SOMETHING, but these were good and not stringy or under/over cooked. The jalapeño cornbread was a bit soggy but had great flavor: the bread was slightly sweet with nice whole corn kernels and it definitely had a jalapeño kick. My medium heat bbq sauce struck the right consistency, sweetness, and spiciness. The pork was a little bit greasy and fatty for my ~ideal~ preferences, but I'm very picky and critical with bbq, and this was overall a good offering that I'd definitely order again. Tender, generous portions, not super smoky but definitely smoke flavor present, and it paired well with the bbq sauce. My partner enjoyed the portion I didn't finish and brought home for him, haha.Chuckwagon is worth your time if you're a bbq fan like myself. Brisket fans will have to try that out and let me know how it goes, lol. I'd definitely stop by again if I found myself nearby.

Recently moved from GA and have been underwhelmed at every BBQ place I've been this far. Finally came to Chuckwagon after hearing their song on the radio. Simply put, amazing! I got the Chuck Wagon sandwich with the spicy sausage on the side with baked beans and Mac n cheese. The brisket was perfectly cooked. It was tender and tasted like meat candy with good smoke flavor. It didn't need sauce but they have three red sauces at each table if you'd like some. The sausage was delicious, not too spicy, but had a good tingle. The Mac n cheese is perfect and I'm sure my kids would love it. The cost was what I was expecting for good barbecue and once I tasted the quality of their food I had no doubt it was worth every penny. My new favorite BBQ restaurant. The only teeny tiny issue I had was the lack of caffeine free drinks. I got the lemonade which is good but I could have gone for a sprite. Overall, a 9.9 out of 10.

By far, the absolute best wings I’ve ever eaten. I will stop by and grab a very large order of chicken wings and barbecue with every visit to Huntsville! You won’t go wrong treating yourself and your family to the best barbecue dinner ever!

We got two of the whole roasted chickens! They were very tender and delicious. It was our first time visiting ChuckWagon BBQ. We will definitely come back again.

Family owned which is always a big plus with me, the wife at this location excuse me I forget her name, showed the best customer service I’ve received in years. But Let me start with the brisket it’s simply amazing, juicy not too fatty, flavor bursting with every bite, definitely not commercial bbq. The Mayo slaw was fresh and onnnnn point. Star of it all was the white sauce it’s a must , the atmosphere of the restaurant makes it all better. YOU MUST TRY THIS SPOT. also a location in Madison off 72.

I catered lunch for my drivers, and we tried Chuck wagon BBQ. And this was the ABSOLUTE BEST BBQ, we've ever gotten from anywhere. All my drivers raved about the brisket and ribs. We will definitely order from them again.

I needed lunch for 7 people who were helping a family member move. I also needed lunch for a family of 4 who had just moved to town and were unloading. I ordered all of the food at 10:45am. I arrived at the drive- through at 11:10am. They had put all of it together with fresh, hot, delicious ingredients and had me on my way in about 6min. The food was so fresh, delicious and each sandwich was made to order!!! Fabulous experience and the staff was super attentive and very polite!!! Thank you all, we will be back!

A very good lunch. The special? Steamed brisket sandwich, side and a drink was a good deal. Ok, so what if the 'steamed brisket' was a glorified Sloppy Joe? It was still good!!!

Great food and service. Authentic Texas bbq!! Try the smoked bacon and mac cheese. Had the sampler!! Phenomenal!! Wish I had been sooner.
