This place deserves a 2 star, nothing was special about it. I received my chicken raw, so there’s that… my partners steak was also over cooked. I recommend going to Conner’s instead. For the same price Conner’s is a no brainer.

3rd time here, dinner the first 2 and brunch number 3.I like that a little nicer place has come back to providence, but I have been underwhelmed on each visit. The staff is very nice and attentive, the location is great, the food is average. With so many places well above average to amazing now in HSV around the same price point it is hard to go out of your way to come here.

We had delicous salads that were beautifully presented and in a relaxing ambiance. I will go there again, for brunch next time. The desserts sounded heavenly and will try the butter cake soon.

We stayed nearby and had dinner here on our first night. We had a party of 4 adults and 4 kids- 2 kids were under 4. We get that some places might not want noisy crazy kids running around a Restaraunt but that’s not us- our kids are well traveled and know how to behave in public, they have manners. The hostess had a hard time hiding the fact that she was looking down on us. Heard her tell one of the others “we should probably put them in the back”. So they seat us in a room by ourselves. Fine. Our kids were fine (we knew they would be even after a 7 hour car ride) and we can hear some kid in the main dining room screaming their face off. They started seating people near us (I guess after they realized we weren’t a bunch of animals) the food was ok. My daughter and MIL had the filet and my other daughter had the braised beef ravioli. The filets were good, green beans were pretty bland. The Caesar salad was just ok. Blackened chicken was good and the chips and dip was really good. My husband had a burger and fries- the fries were really good but the burger again was just ok- nothing special. Served plain nothing with it. Overall it wasn’t a horrible experience but for the price and the treatment, I wouldn’t go again due to the hostess’ treatment and acting like we were below her. Our server was really nice though. He didn’t have the same attitude as the hostess.

This place was very nice when it was open and had good foid. I couldn't find another way to let folks know this business is now closed. How sad! I guess it's another COVID casualty.

Nice dining experience. Food was presented as we ordered and was fresh and tasty. Great atmosphere and very friendly staff. We will be back again.

This place has great food! I adore their brunch. They are always so kind and respectful even when we show up on Sunday without a reservation. Sorry guys. They squeezed us in anyway since they had space and were so kind. And the food is DELICIOUS! Been for dinner as well and their steak and salmon are amazing and their soufflé is so good. For brunch the chicken and waffles and smoked salmon are delicious. Also the mimosas. Definitely my favorite for brunch.

My wife's company had their Christmas party here and they did a fantastic job of dealing with the large number of people, including the coordinating of taking orders and delivering the meals. The food was good, as was the service.

We ordered scallop & shrimp skewers and stuffed scallops. My mom and I are big seafood fans. We both said we felt like we were eating fresh seafood at the beach. My scallop & shrimp skewers were grilled and seasoned to perfection. Highly recommended.

Each dish was delicious, generously portioned, and served promptly. We had a nice view of the town green that the developers thoughtfully included to give this little neighborhood a touch of New England (not really part of the restaurant except that the overall setting is lovely, especially for the outdoor seating).

This is my favorite restaurant! We've been going there for years and I've never had anything I didn't love. The ahi tuna appetizer, any of the steaks, the salmon brulee, the white corn cheese grits, and the seafood Mac n cheese are all to die for. We recently did a dining in the dark event there that was incredible and fun. Highly recommended!!

The food is amazing. I have tried several dishes like the stuffed grouper, pork chop, shrimp & grits. All were great. Large portions are provided. Usually enough to take some home. Service is better than imagined. Glass never empty always ready to help. Seating is not crowded as in many places. It is usually quite enough to have a normal conversation.

Their catering is all around HORRIBLE...I've had their brunch and dinner countless times and they've been consistent and good. I threw a birthday brunch for one of my aunts last October of 16 people and it was amazing. BUT they catered for my brother's wedding this past February and the majority was disappointed with their service and most importantly, the food. I was in the wedding party at the head table and it was difficult to get a hold of even one server. For entrée, we had grouper Oscar and filet mignon and it was served room temperature, overcooked/dry, stale, and under-seasoned. Who knows how long the food had been sitting out so that doesn't ensure a safe and edible dinner. 29 guests didn't show up so all of those entrees were thrown away and never asked to be boxed up. Even though the food was terrible, that's still our food that we paid right?? That's a lot of money down the drain! What pushed me to post a public review is mainly because Grille 29's management avoided all types of accountability. Best believe my family's been trying to handle this internally but it's frustrating when my family's been loyal customers to Grille 29 since they've opened in 2007, hence using and trusting them for a 200-person wedding. They still haven't replied back to my brother's email from 3/2/2020. We like giving restaurants the benefit of the doubt because my parents and relatives that attended the wedding were or still are in the restaurant business for over 20 years. We love supporting local and even franchise restaurants because we appreciate food and dining experiences so much. But Grille 29 is over here basically saying, "It's not me, it's you." It's hysterical at this point.
