Grille on Main

Have eaten here 3 times and 2 of those were in the last 3 months. The most recent was March 28, 2025. Your restaurant was not extremely busy and it took over 1 hour after we ordered to get our main course. When it arrived it was not even luke warm (i.e. cold!!). Our waiter was nice but non-attentive. We think a "manager" came to our table but he did not even introduce himself. He was apologetic and took the "blame" but that was all. We were there over 2 hours sitting on the porch with no one else there for the last 1 hour. We felt abandoned and had to flag someone down just to get our waiter to check on us. Not acceptable for a restaurant of this stature!! I doubt we will recommend and doubt we will be back which is unfortunate because our visit in December was over the top!

I'm sad to say I was disappointed. We had asked for another round of drinks. My husband got an entirely new beverage than he got the first time. She asked me if I'd like the same thing. I said yes please. Someone else brought his beer. I didn't think anything of it being a cocktail, maybe it would take a lite extra time to prepare. Never came. She brought us our check and to go boxes. She then realized she had forgotten the drink. Best she could have done was brought me one on the house. We also had written on our reservations we were celebrating both of our January birthdays. No acknowledgement of that whatsoever. We really wanted to give this place a shot over many other restaurants in town. bummer.

The food was great; however, the greeters were not very welcoming. In fact, I sensed a hint of prejudice from the gentleman on duty 22 Dec. He initially told us they were booked and the next available was two hours later. He finally viewed the schedule on the board and said “someone canceled or they didn’t show so we do a table” Our server was excellent. My first and last visit to Grille in Main, Huntsville.

I have been to Grille on Main a few times in the last few years and I am always impressed by the service of the staff. They have one of the best staff I have had the pleasure of interacting with in a line of upscale eateries.

The waiters and waitresses make you feel like you are the only person they are waiting for in a room or even a table full of people. That is a feat within itself.

The food was great but I do feel they would get five stars all around if they expanded the menu a little, outside of that it is a must if you are in the area.

First and foremost our server Carson was wonderful. I got the eggs Benedict. It looked so sad. No garnish, not enough hollandaise sauce, and the poached egg was medium. The only thing seasoned was the English muffin. Which had butter. The shrimp and grits was seasoned perfectly. Atmosphere was nice. Dim lighting, so if your old make sure you use your phone light to read the menu.

We had the Fried Green Tomatoes, Steak & Mashed Potatoes and Shrimp & Grits. Everything was delicious, the Chocolate Trio dessert was amazing and our server Morgan was so friendly, perfessional and gave us great recommendations. Loved her!

Food is amazing! However, we were disappointed with our experience attempting to book with this venue, specifically with the sales director not the actual restaurant folks. Despite having a small group of 17 guests, we found them unwilling to accommodate our needs simply because we didn’t meet their minimum spend requirements. Their focus seemed to be more on meeting revenue thresholds than working with us to create a memorable experience.

While we understand the need for minimums, it felt inflexible given our smaller party size, especially when other options (like appetizers or wine) were suggested to increase spending rather than tailoring the service to fit our unique needs. Unfortunately, we didn’t feel like our group’s experience was a priority unless we met their financial expectations.

This was disappointing, especially since we were genuinely excited to celebrate at this venue.

Delicious! My server also gave great descriptions and suggestions which allowed me pick things that I LOVED. Very cute, very yummy. I had the Halibut and my husband had the trout and they were both amazing!

Way over priced and the steaks were smothered in a sauce. Not very good at all. There were over 10 of us at the table and nobody really enjoyed their meals. Patio had a nice atmosphere and the server was friendly.

We had a 12 person business dinner on the patio. The staff was excellent, the food was perfect, and the drinks were delicious. We were incredibly impressed at the speed, efficiency, and detail. Every steak came out at the right temp, we were checked on often, and we felt like the service was for royalty. Highly recommend this restaurant, especially for events or business.
