In all my years of living in Huntsville and looking for a good soul food spot I can honestly say that this is by far some of the best soul food I’ve had in a while . It reminded me of being back home.

Been there several times now. Food is too dry. Service is rude. In my three visits they took over 30mins every time to get me my food. No apology and they expected a tip after the long wait.

Food was delicious as always. G’s hits every time, great food, quick service with a smile. Get the pork chop!

the food is always good. I drive a while hour to partake in this food. They've never let me down
I been coming here since I was a kid. The food is delicious and worth every penny. They serve you in a reasonable amount of time and offer great service. It feels like your eating some of your grandma's cooking. My only small complaint is the portion sizes which is more than likely due to inflation as they used to give you more in the past. This place is still great 10/10 experience.

This place reminds me of my uncle's place in Richmond, VA before he passed; Family oriented.

We added this restaurant to our vacation itinerary as was it was featured on a Samantha Brown show and are so glad we did! We came for the fried chicken (which was delicious) but discovered what hush puppies are supposed to taste like (amazing!!!) and were treated to some life altering meatloaf! G's husband gave us a sample on our way out on our first visit and we came back the next day for a full meatloaf meal. Highly recommend and can't wait to return on our next trip!

When I travel I always look for a place where locals eat. My family went to G's Country Kitchen recently and aside from our server who was warm and friendly our experience was awful. When our server came to our table to take our order she informed us what was no longer available. Half of the menu items were no longer available. We decided to stay because we wanted to support a local business. We also thought the long list of sold out items must be a sign that the food was good. Unfortunately that was not true, the food at G's Country Kitchen was terrible. The food lacked seasoning. I had fried catfish, my parents had fried chicken, my cousins had vegetable plates, and pork chops and the consensus was the same. Aside from the white beans and black eye peas the food was bland. However sometimes when you are hungry mid level food and great customer service can still be satisfying, but during our stay a woman working the cash register begin yelling across the dining hall at us when we were inquiring about how long the food took to arrive. This was the final straw... how dare you serve sub par food and mistreat customers. Take my advice and save yourself from disgusting food and being yelled at by the big burley ignorant lady behind the counter.

I've never seen any white people there. I didn't think it was for me, but I could be wrong . My neighbors like it.
I went there today around 1pm 12/14. I sat at table 1. The woman at the cash register looked at me and said someone will be with you. Later a server came to my table and said "my name isn't hey." I left. I called to complain and the woman on the phone told me I was rude. I said nothing to any of them except bye. I did nothing to deserve the treatment I got there. They can keep their food.
