Handel's Ice Cream, Jones Valley Al

First time at Handel’s Ice Cream in Huntsville on 72. They were busy! Lots of flavors to choose from! Great prices! Supersized helpings! I tried several different flavors all were great! My husband got the banana split.

I ordered a large, barely got to the top of the cone and told to bad. Is this what handles has become. Saw a small come out with way more.

I love the ice cream but the last two times I have tried to order online (DD) my order has been cancelled and the store is "closed" right after on the DD site. Both times I was also trying to redeem a $10.00 credit. A credit that I earned from buying from Handel's in the first place. Not saying it is related, but who knows?!

I say if the store is not accepting orders from DD for whatever reason just don't be an option. That's just good business. I would have gone to the store if it had not been on DD but now I'm just angry. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Credit or no credit, I love the ice cream, but I can also live without it.

Please fix your timings online. We came there at 9.15 pm all the way from Madison and they said the time shown on the internet isn't correct and they close at 9 pm.

Great ice cream and generous portions! Service could use some help. Simple thank yous, your welcomes, and offering napkins would go along way.

Usually the butter pecan is perfect but last night, sooo many pecans, could barely taste the ice cream, not sure who was in charge of that batch but it’s like they dumped a huge bag in the batch. Me and my husband come here to get butter pecan pints at least two or three times a week because that’s how good it is and it’s convenient since we live in the neighborhood but my pint last night was terrible and also almost broke my tooth while chewing on the pecans, I guess there were shells in there, felt like a rock, that was a first also. Maybe the person just didn’t know how to really make it, maybe new employee or a bad day lol but like I said it’s usually so creamy and buttery with just the right amount of pecans.

Great ice cream!! Salted caramel truffle. Mint chocolate chip. Raspberry chocolate chip. But not cheap. Smallest kids ice cream cone I ever saw but still free. Guys at window are nice.

Always love going by Handels, they have some od rhe best Ice Cream. And with peachws being in season, it is that much better.
