I love their ice cream, but the business needs to make some serious updates. I am seven months pregnant, and I stood in line for twenty minutes in the hot sun for them to tell me that they do not accept tap and pay. It would have been nice for there at least to be a sign on the window saying so. Also, it is ridiculous for there to only be two employees working the stand.

Handels is an awesome gem of Huntsville! Cute ice cream parlor in the middle of the hustle and bustle! Lots of parking! Walk up service, benches to wait, no shade, long lines if you go at night, but worth the wait! Servings are generous, tons of flavors - all amazing, and pricing is way better than any other competitor (I’m looking at you - DQ and Baskin!)

My absolute favorite ice cream place in this area, I have not had a flavor I don’t like! My husband also LOVES handel’s especially their banana split (no photos unfortunately). We love the 4 scoop sample tray and the staff is very friendly!
Fun experience. I was scared of the line, but it moved quickly with a efficient staff. The ice cream was excellent and we enjoyed it. For our one experience of Huntsville ice cream, we left very happy.

I ordered 3 orders of small dish with one scoop, which was $4.50 each. That was I always ordered as usual. I have to say the ice cream was always good. But this time the service was really bad. When I got the orders, I was really shocked that the amount was really small, it was obviously only one ice cream spoon amount ( or like a quarter of ice cream scoop) in those three cups. I sat down and my kids started to eat, I was still shocked. I looked around, noticing there was a little girl ordering the same order as me, and obviously she got the right amount, one scoop which was the same amount as what I ordered before. So I went back, and used the ice cream spoon to scoop the whole ice cream, showing the guy if that was one scoop for five dollars. He said yes. That was really ridiculous. I really didn’t want to argue with him. I know it is obviously racial discrimination related. I threw away the ice cream and left , which I really felt regretful since I forgot to take a picture. But I went back to ask my receipt back, at the same time the manager talked to me, but I knew she didn’t even know how small her team scooped my ice cream, so that was no point arguing with her, i just left.
If the manager is reading this review, check the camera, it is impossible for $5 for a small dish, for only an ice cream spoon amount, the size was only a quarter of one scoop. Don’t treat customers differently. Show some respect to other minorities!
Never come back and will dispute my bank transaction as well.
