The food was great. I front desk didn't speak she just looked at & said "Yes š?" When I told her my order name, she just dropped my bag on the counter.
No "How are you?", "Thanks for coming.", "Enjoy!" I wanted to take my tip back š

The prices are a bit steep, but the food is amazing. The only complaint I have is the seating area is not easy to maneuver a wheelchair. Can be a struggle to get to seating especially during peak hours. Otherwise everything is wonderful!
Wheelchair accessibility: Technically accessible, but I say that loosely. The table setups make it difficult to get larger wheelchairs through. I would assume smaller manual wheelchairs wouldn't have as much trouble. While the restroom itself does legally qualify as being accessible the door to get towards the bathroom makes it quite difficult to get a wheelchair in there.

Good food, albeit pricey for the quantity. It's a decent lunch portion, but $25 for lunch is rough. Especially if 1 of the 4 small pieces of pork is nothing but fat. Flavor is on point.

Atmosphere, prices, and food quantity are all pretty solid. My only complaint is everything I've ever gotten just need a little salt and/or pepper to be perfect, but there are unfortunately, none present on the tables.

Pretty good! Several different types of ramen, I wouldnāt say itās the best ramen spot in Madison, but definitely worth the try. Staff are kind and patient and food was delivered rather quickly!

Consistent flavor!! I had the ramen and the octopus balls! It was flavorful with a nice amount of pork in the ramen!

I hate to write this review on the final day of 2024, but the poor quality of service I experienced at Kamado left me truly disappointed and tarnished the respect I once had for this establishment.
First and foremost, there seems to be a lack of clarity around certain procedures and policies. Nowhere on the companyās website, policy documentation, or at the venue itself does it state that dining in is prohibited 15 minutes before closing, with only takeout orders allowed. While I was initially fine with this unexpected policy, as it was my first time hearing of it, the service that followed was unacceptable.
The cashiers rushed to take and fulfill my order, which I appreciated given the time constraints. However, after driving over an hour home with a sick child who has the flu, I discovered that the A6 Kara-age I ordered and paid for was missing.
When I called back to address the issue, I was told no manager was available to speak with me, and no one offered a resolutionāno remake, no refund, and no genuine concern for the missing item from my rushed order. This level of indifference is unacceptable.
Customer service is EVERYTHING, and sadly, this experience reflects poorly on Kamado. Iāve always spoken highly of this restaurant, but this incident has severely impacted my opinion. I hope management takes these concerns seriously to prevent similar issues in the future, as Iād like to see Kamado live up to the reputation it once had.

The food is amazing. The front girls act like high school girls and have serious attitude problems. Like girls. It aināt that serious. Chill. They make you feel dumb and act like youāre not meant to eat there. But the food was amazing.

Beware, if they mess up your order they will only refund the part they didn't give you. They won't give you anything for the inconvenience of a messed up meal. The lack of significant meat caused my hubby to not enjoy his whole meal. I had to cook something else. He won't eat a bowl full of noodles with a few meat in it. Very disappointed because we order frequently and never complained before. Plus we drive quite a way to get the food.

Disclaimer: I will describe race, to help differentiate because I donāt know names.
Iāve been here twice. The first time everything was excellent. The bartender was a black woman, very friendly, great service. The food was amazing and the restaurant had a nice atmosphere.
Second time the bartender was maybe Indian. I waited patiently because she looked busy, but then I noticed her casually conversing and constantly checking her phone, and after some time I left.
I give restaurant workers grace because I was in the industry for about 10 years, but most places have a rule to greet within a minute. If checking her phone is more important than simply offering a water, she shouldnāt be working there.
I wonāt be returning if I see her behind the bar. Iād give service a zero if it wasnāt for the first woman.

End up coming here pretty often because my friends like it so I keep on trying new things. The wheat noodles in their ramen have great texture but have not been a fan of the broths I've tried; toppings are also pretty average. The other items on the menu though have been pretty good. They've earned some stars back.
2024 07: Chashu pork in the ramen tastes/feels like it was boiled or steamed and not roasted (maybe a bad batch). Seems like there's quick turnover here; I don't come here often but if feels like there's new staff every time.
2023: The pork bun had a great flavor and texture. The gyoza is fast and crispy. The kara-age was fatty and greasy.
Parking: There's a free parking lot around back in addition to the street parking out front.

This spot has a fun vibe with its PokƩmon and Anime accents.
The Tonkatsu Ramen and pork buns are my favorite. The ramen noodles are great and Iām a big fan of the spicy broth. Good portions of the crashing pork, as well. The pork buns are fantastic and make for a delicious start to the meal.
Definitely recommend this place.
