We each had sushi which was okay, not spectacular. We ordered a stir fry shrimp dish. It had crunchy rice that was not good. There were about four shrimp, so we paid a lot of money for crunchy rice and cabbage. We asked to be seated in the patio which apparently was a bad move. There was no designated waiter for that area, so we were kind of forgotten. They have to run this loud fan to keep the bugs from flying in the open doors to the restaurant. Sitting near this made for a less than enjoyable experience. Overall we paid a lot of money for okay food, bad service, and bad ambiance. Don't plan to return.

Service was average, but when we asked for a couple more minutes to order, it was 10 to 15 minutes before they came back to take the order. My macadamia nut chicken that was on my salad was extremely overcooked and dry. The sauce for the avocado egg rolls was just all oily and had a rainbow shimmer on top (maybe going rancid). My Asian salad was supposed to have napa and red cabbage—I got napa and carrots. It was ok but the dressing wasn't made well either. Disappointed for sure given how expensive the food was. Yikes! $21 for 2 egg rolls appetizer!!!! $$$$ waiter was pleasant and tried to help with the sauce by bringing us soy sauce

The quality of the was bad I ordered salmon. They brought out overcooked. They brought me another piece. They didn't prepared the way. It was supposed to be prepared. My wife ordered steak medium well and they bought a rare . The server came over and brought it to the manager attention. The manager came by. I said she was gonna come to Steak meal dinner and then half off on the summer because it was overcooked. She came back and asked me how was the service and I explained her I wouldn't be back because she didn't live up to her promises And when I explained to her, how does she like she didn't care so was that kind of attitude I would suggest people not go there because if the service is pouring the management, don't care about that Pat there's no reason to support them.

Great food and service! We sat indoors but they have outdoor seating also. Perfect dinner evening before our concert at VBC.

I haven't been to this establishment in quite a while. Last I remembered, the experience was good. This last experience was not so good. We had a party of six. The first issue we had is that slow response of the service. Our waiter must have been spread too thin, although the restaurant was not crowded. It took quite a while to put in our order, and it took quite a while to receive the food. The second issue was the quality of the food compared to the price we paid. I ordered a salad and a rainbow sushi roll. The salad was good, and the add-on chicken was tasty. The sushi was very good. However, I consider the food to be overpriced. Others of our party had mixed reviews of their food quality and taste. All considered the price exorbitant. A party of six spending in excess of $350 for moderate entrees (salads, flatbread, etc., and without drinks, is quite high.

Great variety of food! Food was outstanding! Our service was excellent. Restaurant was clean. Staff was very courteous and greeted us with a smile! Great experience!

The food and staff were good. The table we were seated at had was a bench and both sides had tears in them that made it uncomfortable to sit. The location is ideal and plan to visit again if we visit Huntsville again .

I'm never one to complain or make an actual review i just do the stars but i have to talk on this place. The food was terrible, the only good thing was the an appetizer, we got calamari. For the main course my wife got a dragon roll and i got the wagyu fried rice w/ lobster added. First it took about an hour to come out when there was no one there, it was during lunch and empty. Second everything was burnt... it tasted awful. My wife's sushi roll was overcooked and burnt inside, my lobster was so hard i had to pull it apart with my hands little pieces because the meat was like rubber, the rice and steak was awful, steak burnt to a crisp and rice just tasted like it was soaked in grease. Our server was new and in training but was very good and so was her trainer i wish i could remember their names because the only good thing about the stop was them, because the food took so long they got the manager (we didn't even complain they just did it on their on) and the manager gave us two desserts for free but it was pointless because they tasted awful too. My bill was $160, $190 with the tip because it wasn't the ladies fault so i still tipped them but for that price i would never go back here. I don't know if it was a new cook or just a bad day but for the money i wouldn't risk it ever again.

Last night was our first visit to Kona Grill, and we throughly enjoyed it. K.C. took care of us, and she was awesome! She had a great fun attitude. I have life-threatening food allergies, and I really appreciated that she asked if there were any food allergies they needed to be aware of. We spoke with the manager, Jamie on our way out, and he was just the sweetest. The ambiance was great, the food was amazing, and we will definitely be back!

Prime rib on menu is not prime rib. I ordered medium rate and well done delivered. Remade and delivered raw beef. Gave us credit but inedible.

Went for Father's Day brunch. Our waiter took our food and drink order and then never came back. We had to order our refills from the bar directly after the first drink. We waited for an hour before asking for a manager. When the food did come out after an hour, one meal was cold. The manager's excuse was it was Father's Day and they were short staffed so their ticket times were running over an hour. Manager comped our food and we left hungry. We frequent this restaurant and never had such a bad experience.

We had a reservation for Father's Day and were seated right on time. Our server was very pleasant and did a good job. We had a table of nine and she made sure our drinks were always filled and met all our requests. My biggest complaint is the food took an hour to come out. We only ordered entrees no appetizers. I thought an hour was a bit of an excessive wait especially since at that point only half the restaurant seating was full. Everybody enjoyed their food except my husband whose burger was overdone but they did redo it for him. For what you get the food is on the expensive side for example both my daughter and I ordered salads which were $18 and to add chicken was an additional $8. Overall it was a fair experience but Kona is not on the top of my list to visit again.

I ordered the Macadamia nut crusted chicken, potatoes and brussel sprouts, it was Delicious! Our server, Rob, was very good and attentive. A lovely place to eat.

Got right in to be seated but waited 45mins-1hour for food after we ordered. Jada was our server and was not attentive at all as she had to attend to the bar as well:

We eat here every single time we're in Huntsville and I always get the sake-miso sea bass with sautéed mushrooms added to it. My son loves the burger (it's huge) and the fries are excellent. They have a pretty decent alcohol selection, including sakes. The service is just ok and it's always really loud. I recommend the patio if the weather is good.
