Had to go to Alabama and seen this restaurant and stopped in. Flavorful barbecue, there red sauce was sweet and tangy. There sides were good as well. The staff was warm and friendly. The only thing, I didn't care for their nachos, I thought they were dry. I like liquid nacho cheese on mine and they use shredded cheese. But I did enjoy it and I will go back next time I'm in Alabama.

This is the smaller of the locations and at first glance one might think they are to-go only, but they do have a small dining area. Of the local BBQ places, in my humble opinion Lawler's stays truest to the style of BBQ. The staff here is always helpful and friendly and the food is second to none when it comes to "pulled pork". When in the area, you owe it to yourself to order up a sandwich, and you will get it quickly. ONE small catch, if you have a larger group, 5+. I'd recommend getting it to go.

I've visited this store several times for drive through or take-out orders over the years without any complaints! Their food is consistent across all the stores I have visited. The service is always [again consistently] prompt, and very kind. I always get the smoked turkey, or the pulled pork in either an individual sandwich or as a "plate" with 2 sides, sauce, and a roll or a family meal size. I like all their sides (BBQ beans, potato salad, cole slaw, green beans, tasty mac N cheese) however, I'm really partial to their cole slaw, as I love their vinegary (is that even a word?) slaw and I enjoy their green beans, too! I've never had their ribs as I'm just not a rib person Do try this Lawlers location, or any Lawlers, and no, you won't get the "just pulled off the grill" uniqueness of "smoked behind the joint" BBQ [think homemade rubs and the use of a person's preferences for wood or pellets in terms of flavor profiles], but you will get good flavored, consistent BBQ customizable with the various sauces they offer that include: sweet Red BBQ, tangy white (my favorite), mild vinegar, and hot. As the sweet man who responds to their Yelp reviews nearly always says: "God bless and OINK OINK!"

Pork not fresh. Nothing compared to Chuck wagon or Dickey's. Pork has no flavor and you really taste the difference between barbecue smoked on site versus barbecue smoked at one universal location and distributed to all other locations and pulled out of a bag.

Tuesdays two taters for $16 is hard to beat. These are big enough to cut in half and feed 4. The gentleman working at the airport road and Whitesburg has the joy of the Lord and is very helpful.

Absolutely love the Madison location the staff is the sweetest. Visited the Huntsville location tonight and the young girl working the drive thru window does not know how to speak to customers. Very rude. Will not ever waste my time at this location again.

Let me tell you what being able to take constructive criticism is all about. A worker from the kitchen had a bad attitude about correcting my sandwich that should have been a large; but the manager, Ms. AMANDA showed absolutely professionalism in making this situation right. FOR THAT, I AM SO GRATEFUL FOR HER CHRISTIAN KINDNESS.
