We were visiting from Ohio and the food was delicious. The waitress was kind and very helpful with us. The cooks cooked our food to perfection. We were stuff. We didn't eat again till later the evening. Whenever I come back to Alabama, I will be back to Metro

Great food and great service every time we go. The chicken and waffles with strawberry butter is my favorite but their menu is extensive so there are lots of options. If you prefer something light they have delicious avocado toast and wonderful salads. Whenever we visit we always enjoy it.

Fried chicken Benedict is good and the cinnamon waffled was sweet :). Very good breakfast

The vibe is immediate comfort, even on a random Wednesday morning. Clean restrooms, warm service... and the food was perfection. Highly recommend this location. (Paul 5 by himself!)

Metro diner was better than expected. The wait was about 30 minutes. Hostess and server were both very polite. I had the western omelette with hash browns and pancakes. Delicious!! Very large serving size. My daughter had the bisselle breakfast which was equally amazing. This will be one of my new brunch spots.

Nice little restaurant located on Hwy 72 W. Offer good items for breakfast which is what I usually get. Do not know about lunch or dinner. Menu seems good. I think of home cooking when I think of Metro Diner. Huntsville has many restaurants but they are chains of a large corporation. Metro Diner seems to be home cooking which I favor.

I really enjoyed my breakfast here. The service was fast enough and kept my coffee cup full. We sat at the bar. It was really busy for breakfast time. I ordered the avocado toast with no tomatoes with a side of eggs and home fries extra crispy. Everything was well seasoned and reasonably priced. Overall I'd recommend this restaurant and gladly come back.

The worst food. We should have left on arrival as the smell of burning food greeted us as we walked in.. I had the chicken and waffles. The fried chicken was dry and tasted old. The waffles were great and strawberry butter very good. My husband had cheese grits and an omelet. The cheese grits were ok. The omelet was not good bacon was rancid. Both of us were sick the whole afternoon. Service was good and cordial. We will not be back.

Came here for BFast. Got a basic meal of eggs, sausage, hash browns, and toast. A third egg was something like $0.80, so that was a good deal. No sourdough bread, so I settled for whole-wheat. The butter is in a small package and refrigerated (frozen??), which makes it a challenge to spread on the toast. The place was very busy on a Saturday morning at 0930, but the staff did a good job managing things. Lastly, our server Brandon did a good job taking care of us. Solid experience.Cheers!RS

Great little local breakfast place if you are in town (Madison location). Parking is minimal in the front, but there is plenty in the back. No gender neutral bathrooms and no changing tables in the men's room. The inside was a bit loud, but as it started to thin out, it was a bit quieter. All in all a cool little breakfast spot. Our food was cooked perfectly, and they wait staff was attentive. We will definitely be back! Happy Eats! (BTW- they have military discount!)

Ordered eggs over medium (see photo). They were so underdone that they looked like they were floating in water. Disgusting.Waitress looked straight at them left on my plate and asked/said nothing. Also had to beg for water refills. They were not busy.Who TH messes up eggs? It's like the easiest thing on the plate. Will not return.

Metro Diner is a win win any time you go. Breakfast is amazing and delicious. I wanted to try it all and for $21 I had coffee, the bissell breakfast which is your choice of meat(I had Turkey sausage links), two eggs cooked to order, hashbrowns or grits (I got the hashbrowns) toast, and pancakes (I added banana to the pancakes), plus a side of the cheesiest grits. It was SO much food I brought home half. The banana pancakes are absolutely best in the area, the bananas are sliced and cooked in the pancake so it almost is caramelized and perfect. The Turkey sausage had a great flavor to it and the hashbrowns were delicious. Hands down it was some amazing coffee as well. Service was great, I got there when they opened and my waitress was very attentive and refilled my coffee multiple times without asking. She was great and provided friendly service and they were getting busy. Atmosphere is great typical diner feel but homey. The breakfast is delicious, service is great. I will definitely go back and try different things, maybe, the bissell breakfast might be my favorite, lots of options.
