Let’s start with location… In historical Lincoln Mill close to downtown. Next the food portions - huge. Enough for 2 people. The food - the place smells amazing. The salsa - fresh ingredients and chunky with a little kick. The J*** Chicken was smoked and covered in a homemade j*** sauce with all the Jamaican spices including those scotch bonnet peppers. I found a little bit of Miami right here in Huntsville!!!! I started talking with a Jamacain accent as soon as I walked in! Right now, they are only open on Saturday, but soon open Mon-Sat 11-8pm. The j*** chicken is perfectly sauced and portioned! It is served with fresh steamed cabbage, coconut rice and peas, and fried sweet plantains!! I also got the Rum Punch, it don’t tell Ma!!
We came for lunch on a Saturday, and had a delicious meal. John was great and talked us through the menu. We got j*** wings, lemon pepper wings, and a j*** chicken plate with cabbage, peas and rice, and plantains. All of it was perfect. The j*** chicken was sweet and spicy, the wings were crispy, and the cabbage had a wonderful, savory flavor. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone in the area.
